Antonella lives in the centre of Palermo, leading a busy life as a mother of six and a housewife. She loves delighting her family with her wonderful Sicilian cooking, experimenting with new flavours and colours, whilst at the same time staying true to the ancient traditions of the island’s cuisine. Antonella’s cooking reflects her deep respect for the island’s colourful identity, which is largely due to its position as a ‘crossroads’ between the Eastern and Western worlds. Sicily, over thousands of years, has been ruled by the Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Normans, forming a truly multicultural identity. There’s no better place to learn about this fascinating and unique culture than at the table, where ancient traditions live on through family recipes. Antonella can’t wait to welcome you into her home for a taste of the real Sicily!
