  • Crescente with Mortadella Mousse
  • Baked Rosette Pasta
  • Meatloaf
  • Rice cake

I love tradition and I interpret it with respect. Near the Giardini Margherita, surrounded by ever-changing colors, especially in autumn, I will guide you through a unique culinary journey. We’ll start with a classic: creamy mortadella mousse paired with my warm crescent bread, the perfect companion. Next, baked Romagna rosettes—pasta shaped like little rosettes—reimagined with roasted pumpkin, sautéed radicchio, and melted provola cheese. Then comes Mom’s classic meatloaf, with a heart of cooked ham, spinach, and omelet, served with fresh seasonal vegetables. DOCG wines from our local hills will accompany the meal. We’ll finish with the ultimate Sunday dessert: traditional rice cake.

Eleonora and Federico were simply fantastic, this was the highlight of our 9 day trip! They were knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and just so fun to be around! It was especially unique being invited into their warm home to cook. Must do if you’re in Bologna!

6 hours after finishing our master class with Eleonora and Federico and we are still smiling! We had perfect communication from our hosts prior to the class, and we arrived to a very warm and inviting greeting into their beautiful home. Eleonora and Federico were attentive, extremely easy to talk to, funny and informative. Our lasagna making class was delivered at a perfect pace, going through each step, from making the pasta dough, rolling it out, making the béchamel sauce and constructing the dish. We even had time to make some fresh tagliatelle, which we ate as a small starter, before the main star of the show, the lasagne. We ate, with our hosts in their beautiful garden and drank several glasses of local wine with our meal. We will take away new skills, plenty of stories and valuable tips and fantastic memories. If you are considering booking this experience, do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed .

Eleonora and Federico were such fantastic and welcoming hosts! My wife and I learned so much and had an amazing time at their home. We’d highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Bologna. This was one of the highlights of our trip!

Eleonora and Federico were such gracious hosts, and gave us a truly unforgettable Italian/ Bolognese culinary experience. First of all, they have a truly warm, welcoming, and charming home—and an amazing kitchen that has all the essentials. They were great at balancing instruction with conversation, and it was not only a lesson but cultural exchange. The ingredients were top-tier, and they taught us easy-to-follow pasta-making technqiue. I also love that they take into consideration the seasonality when it comes to the menu they prepare. Overall, I would recommend this experience to anyone who finds themselves in Bologna and truly want to experience the best of Italian seasonal cooking first-hand.

We cook dishes from the Bolognese and Romagnola tradition, but we also love to be inspired by other cuisines, which make our table more lively and flavorful. Tradition is our certainty, imagination the means to reinvent it. In our kitchen, seasonality guides the senses, and the search for harmony on the plate is often a topic of discussion between us, as we have shared a passion for good food for forty years — a passion that started in a restaurant! We inherited our love for cooking from our families: Eleonora from her mother, a painter, and her grandmother, a passionate homemaker; Federico from his grandmother, a master of lasagna and crème caramel, his father in passatelli, and the “dada” in the world’s best roast beef. For ten years we ran a shop-laboratory in the center of Bologna, where tradition and creativity met under the porticoes amid aromas, chatter, and the curiosity of passersby and tourists.
