Join me on a journey through the vibrant local market in Florence, where we will explore the fresh produce and ingredients that inspire the authentic Tuscan cuisine. As we stroll through the market, I'll share with you my knowledge about selecting the best quality ingredients and how to distinguish the seasonal ones.
After the market tour, we'll head to the kitchen for a hands-on cooking class, where we'll prepare a delicious 3-course meal featuring traditional Tuscan recipes. You'll learn how to make a classic Italian starter, fresh homemade pasta, and a delightful dessert. Finally, we'll indulge in the fruits of our labor as we sit down to enjoy a 3-course menu with the dishes we've created during the class, accompanied by a selection of local wines and aperitifs.

- We have pondered for hours and hours how perfectly to describe our magnificent cooking class with Chef Cecilia. I’m so afraid I can’t give it the justice it deserves. Cecilia was inviting and embraced us as if we had known each other a life time. Until you have had our experience you couldn’t possibly understand the intriguing relaxed, confident approach provided by Chef Cecilia. The same feeling of confidence we embraced as she made us feel so comfortable. I strongly suggest you look no further than her class. Cecilia was very approachable, demonstrating her technique and knowledge of cooking tips we will remember and use forever. A trip to the fresh outdoor market was such an exhilarating experience. I’ve never seen such beautiful produce, cheeses and meats. The menu was perfect. We have enjoyed in the past making pasta but often frustrated with a few ups and downs in making the pasta noddles. Cecilia addressed and shared the optimal solution to making the perfect pasta. The Tiramisu, my favorite dessert. I have never made one as I was literally afraid I couldn’t do it. Mike never cared for it but loves it now. My fear stepped aside and now I feel like a pro. We are expecting dinner guest soon and Cecilia has giving me a great menu to prepare with such authentic Italian flare.

First, she’s warm and inviting to her home, but her passion and enthusiasm in sharing her family recipes and techniques made us feel like life-long friends. - It can be nerve wracking going into someone else’s home to learn a new skill, but with Cecilia we immediately felt comfortable and were excited to get started! She was an excellent teacher, gave all of us opportunities to practice the techniques, and everything we made was incredibly delicious. Most of all, we enjoyed getting to know Cecilia and spend time sharing stories. She was warm, generous, passionate and funny! And to top it all off, she has the most beautiful home with stunning views of the city!
