Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience

My grandmother taught me how to cook. I still have her recipe book, the secrets of my cooking all come from there. I am celiac, so in my kitchen you will taste dishes that are all naturally gluten-free, but without sacrificing taste and good, traditional Italian cooking. I can also study substitutions to make my menu vegan, upon request.

Valentina was a wonderful teacher! She taught us three yummy traditional, seasonal recipes handed down from her nonna. All very delicious and easy to remake back home. Her home, family, and adored dog were beautiful - my mum and I felt very welcome the whole time. I wish I could do another evening with Valentina 😊

We had a wonderful time! Valentina was kind, patient, and generous. We’re very excited to try these recipes in our own kitchen. She gave us a lot of tips for gluten free cooking. It was a highlight of our trip.

Absolutely amazing evening with Valentina. We felt as if we were part of her family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Valentina, our Cesarina, is waiting for us in Como to let us savor her cuisine "without too many elaborate steps, without sauces to hide the flavors. Seasonal and simple. I cook gluten-free, out of necessity. I have been celiac since I was 18. My parents. guests, however, hardly ever notice that they have something that does not contain gluten in front of them. In addition to food, I like to look after the table: ceramics, plates, glasses and tablecloths that are always different, depending on the season and the dishes I cook."
