I'm delighted to welcome you to my home, where we'll enjoy learning new recipes and exploring typical dishes from my beloved region, Puglia. On the menu, I present Puglian panzerotti, a specialty of Southern Italy's gastronomy. Panzerotti are filled with oil and mortadella, folded into their characteristic crescent shape, and then deep-fried until they form their iconic "belly". In addition to panzerotti, I'll serve Bari-style focaccia, an exquisite oven-baked leavened bread made with a simple dough of water, yeast, flour, semolina, and boiled potatoes that make the focaccia incredibly soft! The focaccia is then topped with fragrant oregano-flavored cherry tomatoes, black olives, and extra virgin olive oil.

- We had such a nice afternoon cooking and eating with Anna and her daughter Erika. Hands on dough making focaccia, this was on my list for a long time and I am going to make it at home now. After all the preparations we had a lovely meal with our hosts. We started out making panzerotti's with tomato saus and cheese. Then Anna shared her secret family recipe for making orichete, a typical pasta of the area of Puglia. I loved making real Italian food with Anna, her practical tips were very helpful. What I would have to take back were the recipes in English, however a link to Anna's YouTube Channel (in Italian) is a good substitute. In keeping with tradition, homemade fresh pasta such as orecchiette, pizzarieddi, cavatelli, and tagliatelle cannot be missing. I take pleasure in delighting my guests with typical desserts: spoon desserts, semifreddos, and finally, homemade liqueurs.
