Rossini was a great cook, and when he decided to stop writing music he devoted himself passionately to cooking. He composed the delightful "Quatre hors-d'œuvre et quatre mendiants", musical aphorisms that could brighten his gastronomic evenings. In the wake of this tradition, I offer my guests a special evening where music opens to pleasantness and sociability and good food closes by completing a pleasant multi-sensory experience. The events open with an aperitif in music during which solo or duo musicians will perform pieces from all times. Afterwards we can enjoy a first course or second course followed by dessert, all strictly belonging to Tuscan and Pisan cuisine.

- We found Flora and Claudio’s home just steps away from the leaning tower, which made a really fun, full day. It was honor to be welcomed into their home and laugh our way through making beautiful fresh rolled pasta. We enjoyed dinner with their company and was given specific instructions on where to shop for the freshest ingredients in Pisa. Even the shop keepers we met loved Flora and her vibrance for cooking beautiful food. It was an experience that extended beyond the few hours we had together.

Cesarina from 2018Location: Pisa Languages: Italian and EnglishWhen one thinks of the city of Pisa, the iconic monument, the Leaning Tower, immediately comes to mind, as well as the thousands of tourists intent on being photographed in bizarre poses at the foot of the famous monument. In the shadow of the famous tower, there are other treasures to be discovered, including the delicacies prepared by Cesarina Flora, who lives in the heart of this Tuscan city.
Starting from an early age, Flora carefully followed her family’s culinary preparations and since then has always found in cooking an oasis of serenity, research, knowledge and, above all, a great passion in keeping the local traditions alive. Today she cooks for her numerous friends, creating dishes with new and renewed flavors. She chooses her ingredients with extreme care, insisting that they come from small, highly reputable local businesses.
Her table setting is classic and elegant, using treasured dinnerware and hand-embroidered tablecloths. She has an eye for detail, combining colors based on the food she is serving, as well as the floral compositions and small potted plants.
