I’m opening the doors of my home in Castello di Annone to let you taste Sua Maestà il Bollito, the king of autumn dishes from Monferrato: a rich and hearty stew of mixed meats, slowly simmered in aromatic broth, served with seasonal vegetables and traditional sauces. This is a dish that brings people together, inviting you to share the joy of the table and discover the authentic flavors of our region. It pairs beautifully with typical Monferrato wines, which enhance every nuance of its taste. You’ll be welcomed into a warm, cozy setting with country chic style – a place where you can feel at home and enjoy an experience rooted in tradition and simplicity. And to finish: hazelnut cake with warm zabaglione.

We had an unforgettable cooking class with Gigliola near Asti. From the very beginning, she made sure to accommodate our dietary restrictions, thoughtfully adapting the recipes without compromising on taste or authenticity. We were warmly welcomed with delicious snacks and drinks and later enjoyed the dishes we prepared ourselves under her guidance. Gil explained everything with passion and patience in Italian, which added to the authentic experience - yet there was always someone available to translate when needed. The whole atmosphere felt personal, unique, and full of warmth, making the class not just about cooking, but about sharing culture and connection. A truly delicious and memorable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the region.

Cooking is a true passion and a moment of relaxation for me, a way to express creativity and love through the flavors of tradition. I love making fresh homemade pasta, especially stuffed pasta, tagliolini, and gnocchi, following family recipes and enhancing genuine ingredients. Main courses hold a special place in my kitchen: I enjoy cooking braised meats and roasts, dishes that require patience and care but reward with deep, rich flavors. I also like experimenting with wild herbs, precious ingredients from our land, perfect for enriching frittatas and simple yet flavorful dishes. Desserts are never missing from my table, whether traditional baked sweets, perfect for pairing with coffee or an afternoon snack, or creamy spoon desserts, ideal for ending a meal on a sweet note. I love organizing outdoor apericenas, creating a warm and convivial atmosphere with delicious small bites, good wine, and the magic of an evening in good company.
