Your experience

On the occasion of this cooking class, I am opening the doors of my home in San Giorgio a Cremano, in the heart of Campania.

During the class, I will guide you through the preparation of traditional dishes, so that you can take home a small piece of Campanian culture to recreate in your own kitchen. We will begin with a welcome aperitif, inspired by the 18th-century “ordure” featured in the famous book Il Cavalcanti. We’ll serve cheese, salami, and our pecorino bread, a recipe passed down through our family tradition. We will then move into the heart of the experience with a hands-on cooking lesson, where we will prepare Neapolitan scialatielli, the traditional sauce to accompany them, and the famous Neapolitan migliaccio. We'll end the experience by enjoying our homemade dishes together.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful experience in Raffaella's home. We made pasta, sauce, and a dessert cake, all in the Neopolitan style. We toured her wonderful home, which she and her husband were proud to share. The frescos on the walls dated back to the 1600s AD! Despite her translator being sick and unable to attend, we got by with her limited English, our limited Italian and Google Translate! We share many laughs and had the most memorable experience. Would strongly recommend this booking. Also we enjoyed leaving the Napoli downtown area to visit another area. Was fortunate to be able to walk the streets near her home after the class!

I had an absolutely incredible experience learning how to cook like a true Neapolitan with Raffaella! Raffaella and her husband, Enzo, were extremely welcoming and friendly and did everything to ensure my experience was memorable. Their home was incredible and I could tell Rafaella truly cared about the experience she offered and in accommodating a clueless American tourist like myself. Thank you Raffaella, I had an amazing time! Truly one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Napoli!

This was an incredible experience! We are American newlyweds looking for an authentic pasta-making class. That is exactly what we got! We learned how to make two different kinds of pasta and a Neapolitan Easter cake. Raffaella, her husband, and the translator were all very kind and hospitable. This experience was the highlight of our whole trip!

Raffaella and her husband Enzo were so much fun! The lesson was in their apartment in an old restored mansion. We laughed and had the best time. They speak a little English but we mostly communicated with google translate.

The house of our Cesarina Raffaella is located not far from the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, from the excavations of Herculaneum and on the Circumvesuviana Naples-Sorrento line. The apartment has preserved the original architectural structure of the Vesauvian Villas intact, with unique episodes of construction techniques, the original flooring with frescoed walls and vaults; this offers, in a family atmosphere, a recognized hospitality and historical charm. Raffaella offers typical Neapolitan cuisine celebrated by Ippolito Cavalcante but also the refined culture of Bourbon culinary art. "The products are carefully chosen the liqueurs are of own production, by our choice and for a better quality, we prepare the dishes on the spot. This can take some time to prepare, but we know that patience is the best way to eat well.
