This menu wants to try and mix trdition with modernity: the recipes that I've chosen are traditional ones, cooked in an innovative way.

On the menu you'll find a starter, an onion and cheese omelette, followed by the so called pasta "ammischiata" (literally mixed) with provola cheese and potatoes. The dessert is the migliaccio cake, a typical Carnival dessert made with semolina.

Abbiamo mangiato presso Casa Cesarine. La proprietaria Elisa persona eccezionale e ospitale. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente e trascorso una serata indimenticabile sentendoci in Famiglia. Grazie anche al marito della proprietaria Dario che ci ha coccolati con la sua presenza. Ci torneremo sicuramente con altri Amici . Chapeau ad Elisa e Dario.

Our hostess was Elisa. We enjoyed her cooking skills so much. A very nice evening with delicious dishes at a complete stranger's home. Very hospitable. You immediately feel welcome. Also excellent communication in advance. Elisa had devised a 3-course menu which we cooked and ate together in a relaxed setting. In the meantime we met her son, husband and dog. I love it. Recipes noted down so we can make it at home. Highly recommended, which makes a visit to Naples so much more meaningful. Don't hesitate. Just do it!

After finding the right location (building where the mechanics shop is) I met Elisa and she welcomed me into her home. So too did her little dog Pedro! 😊 We made fried cauliflower with a Gorgonzola cheese sauce ( so delicious) and a ricotta cake with citrus zest (also delicious) then moved onto the flour and water Gnocchi (way better than potato gnocchi) with a very simple tomatoe sauce with basil and Parmesan cheese. She explained things really well and even gave me recommendations for where she likes to eat! I would love to cook with her again! She even took pics and sent them to me for a keepsake. The table was set beautifully and she even made sure I had a coffe before I left As I was unable to eat everything while there, she packed my food to go and sent me home with 2 slices of the cake! Highly recommend this experience
