Visiting Matera, walking or just admiring its Sassi and viewpoints, is an unforgettable experience. My guests are greeted with sympathy and a big smile. I show them the house and the places that will see us at work and with our hands in the dough.
Putting them at ease and having our lesson in a familiar environment like the kitchen allows everyone to lose that awkwardness of the first moments. Even the aperitif I offer them for a pleasant break with Prosecco and appetizers prepared by me, helps in acquaintance and socialization. The menus change according to the season but I always use quality, local products to combine traditional dishes that they can replicate and it is a pleasure almost a pride when they send me photos of what they cook.

- My wife and I had wonderful time with Anna Maria and it was a surprise and pleasure to have her husband join us for the meal we prepared. Fort anyone going to Matera this is an experience they should try. The food was great and there was more than we could ever eat. Excellent way to spend a lunch and we have done a lot of cooking classes in Europe. This was one of the best.

Materana cuisine, which consists of rustic country dishes prepared with locally produced products, are to be discovered. Cesarina Anna Maria’s cooking is also something to be discovered. She loves organizing dinners and parties and also caters events, such as exhibitions or inaugurations.
