Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
Shared Experience
In a shared experience, other guests may be added, up to the maximum number of people that the host can accommodate. Therefore you may have the opportunity to share your passion for good food and cooking with other people from all over the world!
Your experience
In an old farmhouse in the hills of Sorrento, you will meet a skilled cheesemaker, Nonna Luisa, who will guide you through an authentic experience of making typical Italian mozzarella and give you a short tour of the farm. Next, you will meet Martina, who will reveal the secrets of traditional Sorrentine cuisine. We will prepare a mozzarella appetizer, a fresh pasta dish and a dessert, based on the products available on the farm. Finally, you will taste these dishes on a terrace overlooking the Gulf of our beloved Sorrento.

- Amazing cooking class with Martina! We had so much fun. Only thing is she didn’t send us the recipes as promised even when we reached out to her via WhatsApp.
- Martina was a delight!! We had the best experience, we love the farm, the food and the family!! We also learned a lot about making the authentic Italian dishes. When we left I felt like I should have given Martina a hug!! Defiantly one of the top experiences in our two week trip!!
- Martina was such a gracious host! My husband and I took her class and it was the highlight of our trip to Sorrento. Her beautiful family farm is surrounded by lemon groves and has a spectacular view of Sorrento. She taught us how to make pasta and tiramisu. It was the best meal we had in Italy! I highly recommend her class!!
- We had such a wonderful time with Martina at her lovely home. Definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Sorrento - sharing the resulting delicious meal on her terrace overlooking the town and bay was magical.
- WOW!!! What a magnificent evening with Martina, her mama and Nona. Who in their right mind could find anything to complain about spending an evening with a spirited and lovely Italian woman and her family in a 400 year old hillside home overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, while learning to make fresh pasta for our meal and Tiramisu for our desert and washing it down with Papa’s home made Albariño wine. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for true Italian hospitality.

Cesarina from 2020Location: Sorrento Languages: Italian and EnglishMartina is the youngest Cesarina in the Network, but she is a champion of traditional Sorrento cuisine and it's all thanks to her grandmother, she says. "I live in Sorrento, in a house surrounded by a citrus garden and overlooking the Gulf of Naples. I have a large vegetable garden where I grow fruit and vegetables, preferring organic cultivation. My table tells the memories linked to childhood recipes."
