Small group aperitivo hands on cooking class with 5 recipes (appetizers), followed by the tasting of the recipes prepared during the class

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • The Neapolitan montanarine
  • Platter of local delicacies: fiordilatte, buffalo mozzarella, ricotta, caciotta, provolone del monaco, accompanied by seasonal vegetables (tomatoes, friggitelli, mushroom aubergines)
  • Fried zeppoline with courgette flowers
  • Eggplant parmigiana
  • Pizza di scarole

For Neapolitans the appetizer is sacred. Our imagination runs wild with these treats and our appetizers end up becoming a complete lunch, so there's no need to go any further.

In this delicious experience there is all the essence of my territory: the platter with our dairy products (buffalo mozzarella from Campania and fiordilatte from Sorrento, provolone del monaco, ricotta in the characteristic basket of intertwined branches) is accompanied by a tasting of seasonal garden products, and here mozzarella, tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil from Sorrento immediately become Caprese; aubergine parmigiana; the escarole "pizza"; the famous fried montanarine, the zeppoline which contain the delicacy of courgette flowers. An irresistible explosion of Mediterranean flavors!

Excellent! Highlight of 10 days in Italy (including Florence and Venice). We spent Thanksgiving here, and I would repeat this every year. If you loved them as much as we did, invite Laura and Frederika to join you for the meal you prepared. It's a little hard to find based on directions in the booking service, so reach out to your hosts for the exact address. Wonderful experience--cannot say enough!

Laura and her son hosted my mother and I for a cooing class. What an amazing evening!! It was just the two of us in the class so it was very personable. Started the night off with an assortment of amazing appetizers and some wine. Then the cooking started. We made Tiramisu, gnocchi sorrento, and potato pasta…. AMAZING! Laura and her son were very kind and informative. We even sat together for a while discussing differences in Italian and Canadian culture which was awesome. We got a copy of the recipes as well. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone!

Mama Laura and Nikola were wonderful hosts and gave us the warmest welcome into their family home. We started the experience with delicious antipasti and wine while listening to a classy playlist. Then the magic began! We began the cooking lesson by learning how to make the best Tiramisu we’ve had in our lives, then learned how to cook fresh gnocchi with a tomato base. Lastly we learned how to cook dry pasta and got to make the Pasta e Patate Provolona AKA 5P! (Pasta, Potatoes, Pork Belly, Provolona, and Peppers). Everything was so delicious and we enjoyed every minute of the experience. Laura, once again thank you so much for your warm welcome and sharing your family secret recipes! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class so much with our hosts. Making the gnocchi with the smoked Gouda was my favorite. My husband enjoyed laying the tiramisu and jamming to euro rock in the kitchen!
