From the moment we stepped into Pina’s stunning apartment overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, we knew we were in for something special. We were four family members embarking on a Sicilian cooking adventure, unsure of what to expect. But Pina—everyone’s beloved Nonna—welcomed us with open arms, radiating warmth and hospitality.
Our experience began with the art of crafting the perfect tiramisu, followed by Pina’s treasured cooking secrets, generously shared throughout the class. In Sicily, cooking is not just about food—it’s about family, tradition, and storytelling.
We then dove into making two types of homemade pasta from scratch, kneading and shaping the dough for two exquisite dishes—one with a rich tomato-based sauce and the other with fresh, fragrant pesto. Pina kept us engaged every step of the way, guiding us through the chopping, mixing, and kneading while weaving in lively anecdotes about Sicilian history and cuisine.
As we sat down for dinner, we were treated to an incredible spread of appetizers—cheeses, cured meats, frittatas, and homemade spreads, each bursting with flavor. Then came our homemade pasta dishes, embodying the true taste of Sicily. And to finish, our beautifully layered tiramisu—a sweet finale to an unforgettable culinary journey.
This experience was truly one for the books! Having taken several cooking classes, we can confidently say that Pina’s class is at the very top of our list. If you’re searching for an authentic Sicilian cooking experience, don’t hesitate—book this class today.

The cooking class with Pina was truly a magical experience that I will never forget. From the moment I arrived at her stunning apartment, I was welcomed with warmth and a breathtaking view over Palermo. Together, we prepared ricotta ravioli and tiramisu with fresh fruits, and Pina also treated me to her delicious take on eggplant and sweet-sour pickled zucchini (a personal highlight for me). Despite my own love for cooking, Pina offered so many valuable tips and allowed me to get hands-on in the process. The evening ended with a 5-star dinner and delightful conversations, and she even packed up a wonderful selection for me to take home. Pina is a truly warm, inspiring woman who radiates a love for good food. I would do it again anytime! ❤️

Incredible! Pina is so warm, kind, and stylish and she is eager to share her expertise. Her apartment is extremely beautiful. A great way to get to know Palermo better and get deep knowledge of Sicilian cooking. We could have spent all day with Pina! Highly recommend. Be sure to message her in advance with requests. Expect to be treated very well (a little glass of sparkling and a snack while you cook).

For us it was the first time that we booked a cooking workshop at someone's home. We’ve had a great time and learned a lot.
We didn't really know what to expect in advance. On the 9th floor we entered a house full of beautiful paintings and antique items. The table was already set and in the spacious and clean kitchen everything was ready to start.
Our group of 9 people was a bit larger than normal, but this fitted well in the kitchen. Pina was patient and her assistant Fatima helped where necessary. We first made an authentic tiramisu before we started with the pasta.
After a lot of kneading and the necessary corrections from Pina in our gnocchi folding skills, we enjoyed a drink with a cheese, tapenade and Italian sausage.
In the meantime, Pina put the finishing touches to the sauces, taking the enthusiasts through the process.
Once at the table we enjoyed our home-cooked Italian meal with of course a suitable wine.
A wonderful experience, Pina is very hospitable and knowledgeable; we’ve had a great time!

We attended the evening "The art of the Italian Aperitivo with a local: Learn & Enjoy in Palermo" with Signora Pina. Just saying the food we prepared with Pina was outstanding is an understatement - and writing this review is making me hungry for them again! The dishes included a yeasted vegetarian rolls with cheese and rocket, a ground pork with other cheeses, speck ham wrapped around prunes, a gorgonzola walnut dip and more. My description does not do justice to the finished items and there were other ingredients, so take notes. Every item was flavorful and well-balanced, and served with Italian wine. Frankly, I had no idea it was going to be as good as this. The setting - in Pina's aristocratic apartment with a balcony view of Mount Pellegrino where we ate - was never expected and the most memorable of anything we ever did in Sicily, and clearly the best cooking experience - and we have gone to quite a few! Bravo Pina!
