Ciao da Maurizio!

La mia specializzazione principale riguarda i primi piatti, ma non sottovaluto l'importanza delle vellutate e dei secondi di carne e pesce. Le mie creazioni culinarie si ispirano alle ricette tradizionali siciliane e calabresi, reinterpretate con un tocco moderno. Prediligo l'uso di prodotti locali, i cosiddetti "chilometro zero", per creare un'armonia inimitabile che esalta i colori, i profumi e i sapori autentici del nostro territorio. Vi invito a provare un primo piatto condito con il mio pesto di mandorle e basilico, o un intrigante pesto di pistacchio e pomodorini secchi. Offro anche deliziose proposte a base di tonno rosso e menta; filetto di maiale o manzo arricchiti da stravecchio e crema di cipolle bianche; polpettone di patate impreziosito da tonno rosso e capperi. E per finire in dolcezza, vi propongo dolci tradizionali realizzati con ricotta o crema di pistacchio, tra molte altre prelibatezze.

We found Maurizio’s hospitality first rate. His selection of recipes met our needs and he allowed us a very hands on experience.We also got to experience his wonderful musical selections and entry into his studio. We dubbed him the “Musical Chef” and would highly recommend him.

Maurizio was amazing what a fantastic cook. He was so welcoming and generous with all the beautiful food and wine. There were 5 courses and we helped him cook some of them too. He is so kind and we got to the desert course and we were so full we only had a small amount so he gave us all the tiramisu and leftover pasta to take home and eat. It was so delicious. If you love great food good company and some wine and to learn about Sicilian cooking please consider spending some time with Maruzio he was truly awesome.

Highly recommend! When we arrived, we were greeted with a breakfast platter of still-warm bread and Sicilian specialties. We then prepared two pasta dishes (pasta dough and sauces) and tiramisu. We were also able to taste Sicilian wine and Prosecco. Maurizio was also very considerate of my fructose intolerance (wine in sauces was substituted and I got my own drink). We did every step of the recipes ourselves and were given lots of tips - the food was fantastic and Maurizio packed up the rest for us to take with us. Even though the cooking class was from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., we didn't leave until 1:45 as Maurizio took the time for us so that we could cook and eat without any hurry. Great experience!

I wpuld highly recommend this experience! I It was just me, and aI was spoiled with way too much food. Maurizio was so hospitable and patient. The food we made was abdolutely delicious. Great local experience!
