„Die Leichtigkeit und Natürlichkeit, mit der meine Mutter kochte, hat mich schon immer fasziniert, und von ihr habe ich die Freude am Essen gelernt. Die gastronomische Tradition meiner Familie ist einfach und eng mit den klassischen Gerichten der Lombardei verbunden, ergänzt durch einige Gerichte, die wir bei Freunden und auf unseren Reisen kennengelernt und schätzen gelernt haben.“ Das Haus unseres Cesarino Maurizio befindet sich in der Nähe des Zentrums von Mailand, in einer ruhigen und eleganten Gegend. Die Wohnung verfügt über ein großes, gemütliches Esszimmer und eine wunderschöne Terrasse.

it was such a memorable and heartwarming experience. The class took place in the host’s home, which made it feel incredibly cozy and welcoming—like visiting family rather than just attending a class. We started the day with a visit to the local market, where we bought fresh ingredients and learned about Italian produce and culinary traditions. Back at their home, we prepared ravioli from scratch, which was a fun and engaging experience for both me and my daughter. After cooking, we enjoyed lunch together on their sunny balcony, joined by the host’s daughter-in-law. What made it extra special was that we ate from their grandmother’s beautiful plates, adding such a personal and nostalgic touch to the meal. Alongside the ravioli we made, they served other delicious homemade dishes that reflected the warmth and generosity of true Italian hospitality. It felt more like sharing a meal with old friends than a formal class. It was an authentic, intimate experience that we’ll always treasure. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with local culture in a genuine and meaningful way!

Maurizio è stato un bravo insegnante ai fornelli e sua moglie una cordiale padrona di casa. Una lezione perfetta ed anche un pranzo piacevole. Location in una zona molto bella di Milano, ma con un po' di difficoltà a trovare parcheggio a un prezzo modico, suggerisco di prendere i mezzi pubblici se non si viene da fuori Milano. Esperienza che consiglio vivamente a chi vuole conoscere i sapori della cucina meneghina.

My daughter and I took a morning session of making fresh pasta and tiramisu w Maurizio. And his wife who assisted him. They were delightful and relaxed. We spent several hours in their beautiful home learning the intricacies of making handmade pasta both by hand and by rolling it out with a pasta maker. We stuffed raviolis with a filling we made and made an amazing mushroom sauce for the hand cut linguine. We also made tiramisu. We dined w them on all our makings after the session and that was wonderful. Was like spending the day with your favorite godparents. They have lived in Milan for years and their insight and just being able to chat with a family that has raised a family was as enjoyable as the cooking instruction. We left with the recipes and plans to try them out this weekend. We were treated like family. Highly recommend!
