    Join me on a delicious food tour through the historic streets of Torino! We'll start our adventure at Piazza della Repubblica, where we'll explore the local market and sample some of the finest cheeses and cured meats that the region has to offer. Next, we'll head to a traditional bakery to taste the famous "panettone" and "grissini" (breadsticks).

    But that's not all! We'll then make our way to a renowned chocolate shop, where we'll indulge in some of the best chocolates that Torino is known for. To top off our food tour, we'll finish with a slice of authentic Neapolitan pizza at a local pizzeria.

    Throughout our tour, I'll share with you some of the city's history, culture, and food traditions. Come join me on this culinary journey and discover the true flavors of Torino!

    My experience with Benedetta was outstanding. We first visited the market for a short tour and to get a few items. Then she welcomed me to her home and guided me through making pasta and tiramisu. Benedetta was a great teacher and host and the result was a wonderful meal. Sharing it with her and her family was so enjoyable. Highly recommended, and many thanks!

    Our morning and lunch with Benedetta and Zoe were full of information and sights at the huge Mercato Centrale in Torino. The highlights were seeing the farmers’ seasonal, beautiful and unusual (for us from US) offerings, the ancient Ghiacciaia – Ice dome refrigeration, the cooking school area at the top of the building and the activity all around. Then our walk to Benedetta’s home on this pretty day was enjoyable and more to see – lots of people enjoying little places outside to have a quick lunch. We arrived and were greeted by Benedetta’s mother Luisa and a table beautifully set in their vintage Torino pottery. The menu was Bruschette of tomatoes and another of peppers on crusty bread. Additionally, the traditional thin veal with the tuna sauce. Homemade tagliatelle with tomato sauce and two cheeses was delicious, followed by dessert of Bunet and amaretti garnish. We felt right at home! The Barbera d’Alba red wine and lots of water after our excursion were very welcome and the conversations in Italian and English about food and life in general. A fun delicious day.
