The Porta Palazzo market, "Porta Pila" for the people of Turin, is perhaps the oldest market in the city. Located above the Roman icehouses, near the Porta Palatina, it has entered contemporary literature as the "larder of the city."

This market abounds with rare delicacies to discover and does so in a multi-ethnic context well expressed by Pistoletto's work "Love the difference" that covers its ancient Tettoia dell'Orologio. The tour that Alessio and I propose will take you to discover its secrets while chatting about food, traditions and history.
