The Porta Palazzo market, "Porta Pila" for the people of Turin, is perhaps the oldest market in the city. Located above the Roman icehouses, near the Porta Palatina, it has entered contemporary literature as the "larder of the city."
This market abounds with rare delicacies to discover and does so in a multi-ethnic context well expressed by Pistoletto's work "Love the difference" that covers its ancient Tettoia dell'Orologio. The tour that Alessio and I propose will take you to discover its secrets while chatting about food, traditions and history. We will be inspired by the stalls, think of a menu together, cook it and enjoy it together.

- We had a great time with Sara and Alessio! Improved on our basic Italian cooking skills, cooked and ate some delicious food, and drank delicious vermouth and wine. A fun, friendly time in a real Italian home. Perfetto!
- Super!
- Super, top. Great way to learn Torino.
- We had a fun time at your cooking class in your home! I gave you a four-star rating because I thought the soup was too plain and lacked color, and the Tiramisu was extremely sweet. We loved learning how to make ravioli, it's a lot less intimidating after learning the steps. Thank you!
- Great evening with Sara and Alessio!🕊️ Cooking secrets and techniques, great food and wine and knowledge about the Piedmont area and suggestions about restaurants in Turin and Rome. Very enjoyable getting to know our hosts in their lovely home.

Cesarina from 2023Location: Turin Languages: Italian, English, FrenchTradition is an innovation that has brought us this far. Starting from the local raw materials, I transform them following both the lessons from my mother and grandmother and the techniques learned through studies and travels. For me, cooking is primarily about conviviality, sharing, and exchange... Always accompanied by a good glass of wine! I prefer first courses and baked goods, smoked meats, and recently I have been producing homemade cured meats. My favorite dish... It's the next one I'll have the opportunity to try!
