Tasting of traditional dishes
Cinema on a plate.
With this experience, I invite my guests to immerse themselves in the world of cinema and savor iconic dishes from various films. This is not about simple regional recipes, but rather a journey through Italy enriched with touches of Middle Eastern flavors. From "Mid-August Lunch" to "The Ignorant Fairies," to make you feel like the protagonists.
In the film "Mid-August Lunch," one of the most beloved guests is our cherished pasta, which always knows how to bring everyone together: baked pasta prepared with classic Bolognese ragù and béchamel, all topped with generous amounts of Parmigiano Reggiano.
The stars of "The Ignorant Fairies" are the white meatballs, enhanced with apple, onion, and spices, to be enjoyed with confit tomatoes or other seasonal vegetables.

- I attended the cooking class with my 13yo daughter, because we were both curious how the proper ragú al bolognese is prepared. With Paola not only we learnt two types of ragú but also two types of pasta. In her lovely house and beautiful kitchen she led us through the process with love and patience. She also prepared some delicious antipasto. Paola is a great cook, perfect teacher and really good companion for a chat, too. I hope, Paola had great time with us as we had with her. Thank you very much! Hope to be back soon for other delicious recipes. P.S. I have already cooked your ragú and tried the mortadella mousse. Marvelous! ❤️
- How lucky of us to find Paola. It was the Saturday before Buona Pasqua and there on https://cesarine.com/en was the perfect menu that we were seeking for our Bologna cooking experience! What made it perfect? The chef, her menu, the location, the environment, the instruction, and the history of each item we prepared together. What a beautiful day we had with Paola in her lovely kitchen learning how to make “real” Bolognese sauce and creating beautiful pasta to serve it on. We had so much fun getting to know each other. All was capped off with a lovely lunch served in her beautiful home. We now have both the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to create what Bologna is so famous for. Paolo, thank you again for such a delightful day.
- Abbiamo seguito un meraviglioso corso di cucina con una padrona di casa meravigliosa. Ci siamo divertiti moltissimo a cucinare con Paola e sicuramente torneremo per seguire un altro corso. Grazie mille.
- It was an amazing experience. Paola was a wonderful host and was great at teaching us how to make the pasta and also shared the recipes. In addition, the tiramisu was really delicious. I would definitely recommed taking a class with Paola.
- Paola was a great host. She welcomed us in her cozy and charming house to teach me and my partner how to make tortelone, tagliatelle, and tiramisu. She was very patient and explained all the steps in a perfect English. The food was delicious. She made us some appetisers such as bruschetta and focaccia with ricotta and olives. The experience was delightful and it was a pleasure to meet Paola. We super recommend it, it was a 10/10.
