Shared Experience
Your experience

    Cinema on a plate.

With this experience, I invite my guests to immerse themselves in the world of cinema and savor iconic dishes from various films. This is not about simple regional recipes, but rather a journey through Italy enriched with touches of Middle Eastern flavors. From "Mid-August Lunch" to "The Ignorant Fairies," to make you feel like the protagonists.

In the film "Mid-August Lunch," one of the most beloved guests is our cherished pasta, which always knows how to bring everyone together: baked pasta prepared with classic Bolognese ragù and béchamel, all topped with generous amounts of Parmigiano Reggiano.

The stars of "The Ignorant Fairies" are the white meatballs, enhanced with apple, onion, and spices, to be enjoyed with confit tomatoes or other seasonal vegetables.

What a fabulous day we spent with Paola! Visiting the market, cooking and enjoying the food in her beautiful garden. Best of all she was wonderful company! Thankyou Paola

My mom and I had a wonderful time! Paola was an excellent teacher, very friendly and patient with us first-time pasta makers. We loved getting to know Paola and she gave us some great recommendations for our time in Bologna. The food we made was delicious and she gave us the recipes to make ourselves at home! Such a great experience, I would 100% recommend it to anyone!

My cooking class with paola was a wonderful hands on experience. We made tagliatelle and tortelloni and it’s filling, as well as tiramisu. She showed us how to do all the steps but then let us do the work and try all the things. She had so many tips and tricks and fun stories that you can only learn in somebody’s kitchen. She is a nice inviting woman with an adorable house and lovely backyard in which we could cool off and eat our hard work. And, if you want to know a secret ingredient to take your tiramisu to the next level, you’ll have to book this class. Thank you Paola!

There are not enough superlative words to describe our experience with Paola! We had this class scheduled for our first day in Italy. Due to some confusion on my part, our tour took place right after we had arrived from the US and no one in our group had slept in about 20 hours nor eaten in about 10. I called Paola on the phone, and she helped me figure out where we were heading in absolutely perfect English. When we arrived at her home, she immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable and it did not take long for her to have our entire group of 6 starving and exhausted adults smiling and laughing! She was so thorough in her explanations and so patient with our lack of experience that the evening just kept getting better and better. She took us back and forth between the kitchen and the dining room to mix and roll and create magic with her fresh ingredients and ensured that everyone felt comfortable with all of their new skills. We laughed so much and learned so much at the same time. To top it off, the finished meal was mouth wateringly delicious! We drank wine and ate and ate and ate until we could eat no more! When it was finally time to go, Paola helped us pick the best walking route back to the train so that we could walk off some of our dinner and get a glimpse of this beautiful city. I am writing this review after we have been in Italy for 9 days and literally every day someone brings up something that Paola showed us or told us. We are so grateful we ended up with her as our teacher and hope to return again someday to learn more from her.
