  • Pumpkin and sausage meatballs
  • Pumpkin Cake

In my home, between Venice and Treviso, where the Sile River joins two provinces, I will accompany you on a journey to discover the queen of autumn: pumpkin, the star ingredient in delicious Venetian recipes.

You will learn how to prepare Zucca in saor, my version of the traditional Venetian sauce with onion, raisins, and pine nuts. We will then get our hands dirty making homemade pumpkin gnocchi with butter, sage, and Piave cheese shavings. We will also try pumpkin and sausage meatballs and, as a side dish, rosemary-scented baked pumpkin. To finish on a sweet note, we will taste pumpkin and raisin cake, an ancient recipe. All accompanied by an excellent Pinot Grigio del Piave. I look forward to seeing you for an evening of authentic food and wine culture... and more!

I love making homemade bread and pasta. One of my passions is risotto, with my best one being radicchio and sausage. I enjoy preparing vegetables in "saor" and savory pies. I particularly like cooking chicken, and at Christmas everyone requests my turkey leg with pomegranate. I love using my imagination and emptying the fridge to create new dishes. While I cook fish less often than meat, dishes like "baccalà alla vicentina" and seafood sauces are greatly enjoyed. The "radicchio verdon", typical of Venetian cuisine, is highly appreciated in my savory pies or crepes, which are a real treat. Polenta pies are also very popular. Polenta is a must in my kitchen. Tiramisu is the favorite dessert in my house, and I have many versions: summer and winter ones. The apple pie disappears as soon as it's made, usually within a few hours. In conclusion, I love cooking with variety and seasonal ingredients.
