Welcome to Giudecca, the magical island just 8min from San Marco.
Welcoming you to their colorful house nestled in a green garden you will find Angela, the sommelier and Rosa, the chef. We will start our experience with a glass of prosecco, of which Angela will reveal all the secrets and teach us how to taste it at its best, sharing tricks and knowledge. The wine tasting will continue with two other imported wines from the Veneto region : Soave and Valpolicella. Once we become little sommeliers, the cooking class will begin and together we will cook fresh pasta and tiramisu, as well as Rosa's specialty, baked fruits and vegetables. Together we will decide on the sauces that will accompany our pasta and we will get to understand how wine pairing works.

- Our family took a cooking class with Rosa in the summer of 2023, and to this day, we say she completely ruined all future cooking classes for us-in the best possible way. Nothing has come close to that perfect day. It was our very first cooking class as a family, and Rosa made it unforgettable from start to finish. Aprons on, prosecco in hand, the five of us learned how to make fresh pasta from scratch, our own sauce, vegetables, and the most incredible tiramisu I’ve ever had. (I’m still addicted-haha!) There was absolutely no language barrier thanks to her warm and friendly assistant, who helped guide us through parts of the lesson. Everything felt seamless, relaxed, and fun. What truly made the experience special, though, was Rosa herself. She has a rare gift of making you feel like family the moment you walk in—which is no small feat with three teenagers! We shared laughs, stories, and an incredible meal together in her beautiful courtyard, enjoying everything we had just created. When we got home, I was so inspired that I turned her recipe cards into my own step-by-step cookbook with photos of our family making each dish. We even bought our own pasta maker and tools, and we still make her recipes regularly. Our table picture with Rosa hangs proudly in our kitchen visible everytime we eat as a family. She didn’t just teach us how to cook-she gave us something that continues to bring our family together. We’ve stayed in touch with Rosa and hope to return one day to cook our Venison sauce for her. We truly wish we could visit more often. This is not just a cooking class-it’s a one-of-a-kind experience that no one should pass up. We recommend Rosa to everyone visiting Venice. It is absolutely worth your afternoon… and it may just spoil every other cooking class for you too!

- Highly Recommended!!! Rosa was wonderful and the food was fantastic. It was fun to learn how to make pasta and ravioli. Her instructions were great and I believe I can make this myself at home, even though I am not a great cook. Angela is a sommelier and paired the meal with several wines. Her choices were excellent and she was very knowledgeable. Both Rosa and Angela were delightful and made the evening a lot of fun!!!
