Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina
Welcome to Giudecca, the magical island just 8min from San Marco.
Welcoming you to their colorful house nestled in a green garden you will find Angela, the sommelier and Rosa, the chef. We will start our experience with a glass of prosecco, of which Angela will reveal all the secrets and teach us how to taste it at its best, sharing tricks and knowledge. The wine tasting will continue with two other imported wines from the Veneto region : Soave and Valpolicella. Once we become little sommeliers, the cooking class will begin and together we will cook fresh pasta and tiramisu, as well as Rosa's specialty, baked fruits and vegetables. Together we will decide on the sauces that will accompany our pasta and we will get to understand how wine pairing works.

- Wow! There are many things we do in life and in our travels and our day with Rosa and her daughter in her home will be one not forgotten. This class with Rosa is an absolute must ! Her knowledge and skill for cooking amazing meals is shared and taught with passion. Everything was so delicious! We promise you won’t be disappointed. I only hope we can find a way back to Venice for another class with Rosa Robin and Ron
- Like many others have shared, Rosa’s dinner/culinary experience is well worth it! Some time has passed since visiting Venice - but I’ve cooked Rosa’s pink veggies/fruits, sauce, pasta, and tiramisu a number of times for special occasions. Rosa hosted just a friend and myself, sharing the table with us and discussed life, travel, family, and of course, cooking over the course of the evening. The experience was one of the more memorable parts of Venice and can now live on for me to share the food with many others. This was an incredible value as well as one of the best meals I had during our trip. Thanks, Rosa!
- Rosa immediately made us feel at home. She welcomed us into her beautiful home with her smile and sweetness. We prepared "spaghetti alla chitarra" and we ate it with fresh tomatoes and basil from her garden. Also on the table were ravioli al pesto and the famous "Arcobaleno di Rosa" ("Rosa's rainbow"), a delicious and colourful dish of grilled vegetables and fruit. A simple Italian cuisine that left us with wonderful memories of a pleasant evening of chatting and great food (her "Tiramisù" is amazing!!). We will return as soon as we can!
- We had the absolute best experience with Rosa and her translator/partner! It was amazing from the second we got there! Rosa welcomed us into her beautiful home, offered us Prosecco/Juice/Water, and we discussed exactly what we would be making that evening! After a few hours of cooking and learning her many tips and tricks, she set the table beautifully and we shared our yummy creations together! I would 1000% recommend this experience to anyone visiting Venice!
- First, I would like to start by saying this class was so enjoyable! The setting, the learning, and of course, Rosa! She has such a great personality and a great method of teaching and I am excited to take what I learned and apply it at home. I would also like to make it known that if you book with Rosa, you should book directly with her. Our group learned that 3rd party sites like TripAdvisor and such are stealing from her. She deserves to get all her booking fees as she is also the one buying all the ingredients. She deserves so much better. - G'
