- My experience making focaccia with Pierangela was wonderful. She is very kindly, a good teacher, has a very pleasant conversation and a great sense of humor. I spent the best hours oh my day with she and her friend. Thanks very much
- The cooking class with Pierangela was a wonderful experience. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that we were the only people in the class. Pierangela taught us first how to make a delicious tiramisu then both orecchiette and cavatelli. All were done from scratch. Once the food was cooked we sat down to a scrumptious dinner with her husband and 2 year old daughter. She cooked some additional goodies to go along with what we prepared together. This was one of the most memorable things we did on our 9 day visit around Puglia. By the time we finished 3 hours later we felt like family with her little one calling my wife Santina NONA. We have already made the tiramisu twice since arriving home 3 weeks ago and it it was great - she taught us well. If you visit Lecce this cooking class with Pierangela is a MUST DO experience

- Le cours de cuisine avec Pierangela était super. Nous avons cuisiné deux foccacias. La recette est celle de la grand-mère de Pierangela. Elles étaient délicieuses. Pierangela avait préparé à l’avance deux pâtes pour qu’elles aient le temps de lever avant le cours. Nous avons façonné les foccacias et fait une foccacia à la tomate et l’autre aux pomme terre . Nous avons refait des pâtes à foccacia nous même qui seront prêtes plus tard dans la journée. Pierangela avait préparé plein de légumes pour agrémenter les foccacias sue nous avons manger ensemble le midi autour d’une bière. C’était une superbe expérience que nous recommandons. Nous avons passé un très bon moment

Cesarina from 2024Location: Lecce Languages: English and ItalianHello, my name is Pierangela, and cooking for others is one of the things that brings me the most joy. Since I was a child, I've wanted to experiment with the traditional recipes of my hometown. I was born in Gravina in Puglia, a town on the border between Puglia and Basilicata, boasting an incredibly rich culinary tradition. It's precisely this richness that drives me to cook: so many recipes, so many flavors, unique and unmistakable, exclusively ours. Panzerotti, focaccia barese, Pan cotto alla gravinese, U' ruccl (typical San Giuseppe focaccia), sweet ricotta calzones with pork ragu, orecchiette al tegamino, cavatelli, baked finocchietti, cartellate, and much more—these are the typical flavors of my homeland. For the past 12 years, I have been living in Lecce, in the wonderful and spectacular Salento, and from the beginning, I started to savor and create dishes typical of the Salento tradition, including the famous Pezzetti di cavallo, Ciceri e tria, Pittule, Pizzo, Frise, and the unmissable pasticciotto.
