The "cazzateddhra" is a type of bread that has roots far back in time, when home ovens did not yet exist and the only oven available was the village oven, where dear grandmothers would go to bake their own dough. This is where the "cazzateddhra" was born: while a woman was waiting her turn to bake, a piece of dough accidentally fell into the oven, giving birth to this wonderful bread.

Together we will prepare the dough, bake the bread and enjoy it together, accompanied by a glass of local wine. All this will take place in my sweet and beloved kitchen.

Katie and her family were wonderful hosts. The food was delicious, the pasta making was fun, and the conversation was engaging. We had a great time!

We had a lovely time with Katia and her husband! Now we know how to make macaroni, orecchiette, and Ncannulate, and we’ll make them again soon! Afterwards, we ate and drank very well: appetizers and homemade pasta, vegetables from her husband, local wines… in a great atmosphere! Finally, we bought oil from the family, which is also delicious! Thank you for everything!

We had the best time with Katia and Gregorio. We learned how to make orechiette and enjoyed the best of the Puglian Kitchen combined with a glass of wine. We would really recommand this authentic experience.

Katia’s and her family were so warm welcoming & generous. She shared a great deal of information about her regional cuisine. We baked bread typical of Puglia. She served us a lovely lunch with a wide variety of homemade food much of which was grown in her garden. Very charming experience..

Katia & her whole family were extremely, warm, generous,& welcoming. We made the local typically bread which was delicious. Unexpectedly, she served us a complete lunch; meatballs, grilled zucchini, several kinds of peppers , meat, & fish. Her tiramisu was delicious! It is a very short cab ride or drive from Lecce, only about 10-15 minutes. Absolutely lovely & memorable experience.
