Small group aperitivo hands on cooking class with 5 recipes (appetizers), followed by the tasting of the recipes prepared during the class

Are you familiar with the merenda sinoira? It is an afternoon meal, linked to the gastronomic tradition of Piedmont. It originated in the countryside, as a frugal meal of the peasants, who needed to put some food under their teeth, after many hours of hard work in the fields. Today with merenda sinoira we indicate an intermediate meal to be eaten between snack and dinner. We will prepare together a selection of delicious traditional dishes, with local ingredients, ranging from vegetables to cheeses, not forgetting homemade breadsticks and bread with our sourdough starter.

Both my wife and I are Chef’s in Canada and we learned so many interesting things about Langhe food culture, style and traditions. Overall it was one of the best experiences on our trip! - We started with an interesting tour on the market. Fabiana knows the local stands with the best vegetables. She told us which tomatoes to use for which dishes. At their place Fabiana and Andrea really made us feel at home. First we prepared tiramisu and then pasta fresca which we used later for agnolotti. They were helpful along the way and made sure we did it right. We finished the cooking class with our own prepared dinner, together with Fabiana and Andrea. Would definitely recommend!
