Con l’arrivo dell’autunno in Sicilia, l’aria si riempie di profumi avvolgenti e i paesaggi si trasformano in un mosaico dai toni caldi: i colori dell'autunno mediterraneo scaldano il cuore e i sapori intensi ci accompagnano attraverso le vie della tradizione.
Per celebrare questa stagione, ti invito a casa mia a Catania per un corso di cucina tutto dedicato ai sapori dell’autunno. Nel nostro viaggio in cucina inizieremo preparando le bruschette ai funghi di Ferla, i funghi che crescono alle pendici dell’Etna. Poi ci dedicheremo alla pasta fresca: una al pesto di pistacchi, proprio come si fa a Bronte, e una ripiena di zucca, nocciole e pecorino siciliano. Per chiudere in dolcezza, un tiramisù alle nocciole ci coccolerà il palato. Ti aspetto in cucina!

- We had an amazing time cooking with Fernanda and her family! They welcomed us so warmly, and everything felt truly authentic. We learned to make classic Sicilian dishes, enjoyed great food, and shared a lovely meal together. A wonderful and genuine experience — highly recommended!
- A highlight of our trip! Fernanda and her daughter were the best hosts, we felt so welcomed from the moment we started. Both were very patient and explained thoroughly the processes also sharing their knowledge and answering our questions. We finished with eating our products with the family over conversation. Such a great experience to truly understand Sicily and the local cuisine. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again when in Sicily next!

From the moment we arrived, Fernanda and her wonderful family welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like part of their own. The entire experience was beyond what we expected. We learned how to make several types of pasta, including tortellini, gnocchi, and ravioli with delicious homemade fillings. Fernanda and her sister also shared insights into Sicilian culinary traditions that made us appreciate the culture even more. There was plenty of laughter, amazing food (we ate until we were stuffed!), wine flowing freely, and a sense of warmth and joy that’s hard to put into words. By the end, it felt like we were leaving a family dinner, not a cooking class. If you’re in Catania and want an experience that feels truly personal and local, this is it. Thank you for one of our favorite memories of the trip!

Fernanda, along with her sister and daughter, guided us through the process of making fresh, authentic Italian pasta from scratch. If you're looking for a unique, hands-on cooking experience in a warm and authentic setting, I highly recommend Fernanda's class. It was one of the highlights of my trip!
