Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience

I carry on the family tradition with the preparation of typical dishes from the Tuscan Maremma. You will learn how to create Tortelli maremmani with ricotta, spinach, Swiss chard and nutmeg, and "Malfatti," gluten-free gnocchi made with ricotta, spinach and egg. The class will culminate with the making of a delicious "Tiramisu," offering two basic options: with Savoiardi or Pavesini. At the end of the cooking school, we will relax with an aperitif of prosecco and local specialties such as pork and wild boar salami, pecorino cheese, crostini and bruschetta, accompanied by sottoli. During the following lunch, you will have the opportunity to taste excellent Chianti wines from the renowned surrounding wineries. An authentic culinary experience that celebrates the flavors of the Maremma.

The best day of our holiday in Toscany! With our 2 teenagers (age 14 and 17) we went to Ilaria to cook together. We got a very warm welcome and it immediately felt like home. Ilaria is a very funny and warm person and is very patient. She takes care that everybody is involved in the cooking and offers a helping hand where needed. Even our teenagers were very exited and enjoyed the experience. The food we made was very good and the eating together at the and with a nice glass of wine felt like a bonus! The view from Ilarias house os amazing and makes the experience complete. We would recommend this activity to everybody.

A Culinary Gem in Italy: Ilaria's Pasta-Making Class Ilaria and her husband welcomed us into their home with open arms and hearts, creating an experience we'll cherish forever. Learning to make homemade pasta and tiramisu with Ilaria was a highlight of our trip. Her passion for Italian cuisine and dedication to teaching us the art of pasta-making were truly inspiring. From the moment we stepped into their kitchen, we felt like part of their family. Ilaria's husband added to the experience with his warmth and humor, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. If you're looking to delve into the heart of Italian culture through its food, Ilaria's class is a must. The skills we learned and the memories we made will stay with us long after we leave. Grazie mille to Ilaria and her extremely talented wine making husband for sharing their expertise and hospitality. We can't wait to return for another delicious adventure! Paul & Lucie

Hilary was a gracious teacher and host. We felt very comfortable as she showed us how to make the pasta, rolling and kneading the dough. We learned how to make the tiramisu, which was wonderful. We were invited to dinner with her husband and daughter. Hilary’s husband helped as well clearing the table. It was a great experience.
