Cesarina from 2024Location: Amalfi Languages: Italian and English On the classic terraces of Amalfi overlooking the sea and protected by the mountains of the Path of the Gods, we gather and process the products of the land, combining them with the high-quality products of our territory and ancient processing techniques. Every year, we produce red and white wine, extra virgin olive oil, limoncello, and all the other infusions that form the basis of all our gastronomic experiences. Pizza can be an excellent way to consume the products offered by the garden: tomatoes, basil, oregano, onion, garlic, potatoes, chili peppers, zucchini, eggplants, artichokes, and all the surprises that nature provides. Using twice-baked Agerola bread in a wood-fired oven with the same products, we prepare delicious salads with almost forgotten flavors. With the ricotta and cheeses from the shepherds of Agerola, we create fillings for handmade pasta, as well as gnocchi and scialatielli. All our experiences begin on the panoramic terrace of the structure with an explanation of the various points of interest that are clearly visible from the terrace: the classic view of Amalfi, Sophia Loren's villa, the beaches of Duoglio, Vite, and Conca dei Marini, the Monastery of Santa Rosa, and the Path of the Gods. From there, lemons are gathered, the characteristics of the Sfusato Amalfitano are listed, and lemon and lemonade are tasted. We then embark on a walk through the classic terraces of the Amalfi Coast, where one can appreciate the explanation of the vineyard, table grapes, and wine grapes. We will pass through a small olive grove and observe the traditional seasonal crops of the area, including six varieties of native tomatoes. Only after, will we decide whether to indulge in a dinner, lunch, a rustic snack, or a pizza.
