Sfince (sweet and savory fried puffs)
Sfincette were my grandmother Maria's ritual on the evening of the Immaculate Conception: she prepared them in a thousand variations, with anchovies, anchovies and cheese, mortadella, salami, or sweet with sugar and cinnamon, honey, or apples. Each one was a treasure trove of goodness, capable of bringing the family together around the table. In this cooking class, we will make them together, step by step, and I will reveal the secrets handed down for generations to obtain soft and tasty sfincette. The experience will be accompanied by a glass of good wine, a sincere welcome, and lots of laughter, just like at grandma's house.
We had a great time cooking with Alessandra. The arancini and tiramisu were delicious, she is a great teacher and host.

I had a delicious dinner with Alessandra, she cooks sicilian traditional dishes the way a nonna would, with love and passion.
Highly recommended for a true local experience in the heart of Palermo.

The experience with Alessandra was memorable.
From the start, she welcomed us into her home, which immediately felt like our own, and this contributed to the organization of the perfect surprise for my husband.
Alessandra, as well as being a perfect 'host', demonstrated a deep connection to her Sicilian roots, which led her to embark on this journey.
Listening to anecdotes and advice on preparing the menu and discovering how attentive she is to detail was a truly wonderful gift for both of us.
Happy to have met her, we can't wait to return and experience it again.

My name is Alessandra, and cooking is my true passion. I love traditional dishes from Palermo, like baked anelletti, arancine, pasta with broccoli, and with sardines. I’ve taken cooking courses that helped me refine my skills and explore more creative recipes. For me, sharing food is an act of love and discovery.
