Risotto is an iconic dish of northern Italian tradition. At my home, just outside Bergamo, I prepare it in two versions: with mushrooms, a classic from my family tradition, or with peppers, creamy and full of flavour.

The risotto will be accompanied by a starter to begin with and a traditional dessert, such as tiramisu, followed by coffee and a digestif.

I look forward to welcoming you to share this experience of flavour and conviviality together!

We had a fantastic cooking class with Alessandro - who hosted our group of 8 in his lovely apartment. From great local starters to making our own pasta and enjoying an amazing Tiramisu (which is, if you learn the little tricks, remarkably easy!), the whole class was an amazing experience. Alessandro took great care of us and made sure we learn not only about cooking, but also about regional specialities and the Italian culture :) Thanks again for this fantastic time and we will surely cook your recipes again! My name is Alessandro. I was born in Milan in 1961 to parents from Emilia. I look forward to welcoming you in the kitchen of my home on the outskirts of Bergamo, where we will prepare and enjoy local specialties together (Scarpinocc, typical Bergamasco ravioli, or Polenta Taragna) as well as dishes from my family tradition (Tagliatelle, Rosette Modenesi, Tigelle). Everything will be preceded by a variety of possible appetizers, including Reggio Emilia’s Erbazzone, and followed by a dessert, typically Tiramisu. A wide selection of wines and digestifs will also be available. An authentic, convivial, and relaxing experience, with many simple recipes you can easily recreate at home!
