Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Erbazzone
  • Tagliatelle
  • Scarpinocc (stuffed pasta)
  • Tiramisu or lemon mousse

We will start with a tasty appetiser based on Erbazzone Reggiano. After that, we will get our hands dirty and prepare tagliatelle together, to be enjoyed with my homemade ragù, and Scarpinocc, traditional Bergamo ravioli stuffed with cheese. We will finish on a sweet note with a classic Tiramisu or a fresh lemon mousse with a digestive touch.

I look forward to welcoming you to my home on the outskirts of Bergamo for a convivial experience dedicated to good traditional food. I will show you how to make simple dishes that you can then replicate at home.

Had a wonderful evening with Alessandro and his family! I got to taste and eat delicious Italian specialties (loved the crescentine) and learned how to make tagliatelle. Alessandro is passionate about Italian cooking, it was a true pleasure to discuss and learn. Alessandro and his family made me feel at home. It was an amazing experience that I warmly recommend!

We booked the class to make 3 pasta dishes last minute, and are so happy we ended up with Alessandro. He was so sweet, very patient and passionate about his recipes. We would highly reccomend Alessandro’s cooking class and are sure to return in the future!

The experience with Alessandro was so delightful, I recommend it wholeheartedly! It was my first day in Bergamo and the tour with him gave me a chance to get to know the old town from a local perspective and it's history combined of course with great food! It was so fun and he's such a kind man.

Amazing evening. A wonderfully personal experience. Fantastic food and cooking skills to take home with us in the setting of Alessandro and his family’s very generous hosting.

Excellent food, hands-on learning, and a welcoming environment! I can’t say enough good things about this experience. I was fortunate enough to be welcomed into Alessandro’s home and, in addition to a practical learning experience, we had a great conversation – I also had the pleasure of meeting his two delightful children! As a solo traveler, being welcomed into the home of someone who has lived in Bergamo for many decades, this experience was incredibly meaningful.

My name is Alessandro. I was born in Milan in 1961 to parents from Emilia. I look forward to welcoming you in the kitchen of my home on the outskirts of Bergamo, where we will prepare and enjoy local specialties together (Scarpinocc, typical Bergamasco ravioli, or Polenta Taragna) as well as dishes from my family tradition (Tagliatelle, Rosette Modenesi, Tigelle). Everything will be preceded by a variety of possible appetizers, including Reggio Emilia’s Erbazzone, and followed by a dessert, typically Tiramisu. A wide selection of wines and digestifs will also be available. An authentic, convivial, and relaxing experience, with many simple recipes you can easily recreate at home!
