In a familiar and comfortable environment I will guide you step by step to the creation of an entire 3-course Sicilian menu from starter to dessert.
You will be greeted by a welcome drink and immediately afterwards you will tie on your apron to start cooking! We will begin by preparing bruschetta and a starter that varies with the season. Then I will reveal the tricks for making the best fresh pasta at home, starting with the dough made of water and flour, which will be topped with a great seasonal sauce that I will teach you how to prepare. We will also make together a traditional dessert according to the season such as water melon jelly or a cassatella with ricotta cheese. At the end of the preparation we will taste the dishes together with some excellent local wine.

- Such an enjoyable experience! My mother & I chose this class as we really wanted to learn authentic pasta making and tiramisu. Alice and Francesco were a joy to be taught & hosted by. So knowledgeable and skilled. They made the session so enjoyable and easy to follow. Lunch was then had to enjoy our labor of love, with lots of laughter and great chats. They were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, as well as patient, knowledgeable teachers who made the experience both fun and memorable. The food we prepared together ended up being one of our favorite meals of the entire trip, and we’re excited to recreate the dishes when we get home. If you’re looking to learn authentic Sicilian cooking while spending time with genuinely wonderful people, I can’t recommend their class highly enough. It was a 10/10 experience and a memory we’ll always cherish!

- We can definitely recommend this cooking class to everyone! We had a really great evening with Alice and Francesco. Alice showed us many different types/shapes of pasta and shared really helpful tips and background information for the making of pasta. We also prepared a delicious tiramisu. As a vegetarian it was no problem at all and Alice checked our likes/dislikes with us in advance. After we made the pasta Alice and Francesco cooked for us as we had really nice starters and wine. The food was delicious. We had a lot of fun, shared great laughter and had a really nice and delicious dinner and local recommendations for our trip in Sicily. If we ever visit Palermo again we will come back for another cooking experience with Alice.

It truly felt like spending an evening with friends rather than just a class. We left with amazing memories (and delicious recipes to try at home!). I love cooking for my family and for others, starting from the choice of recipes and the selection of ingredients. I like to experiment and I'm particularly passionate about pastry and leavened foods. I do research on ancient cookbooks and asking around, especially older ladies, their family recipes. Sicily, like all Italy, has an invaluable gastronomic heritage, whose recipes and preparations vary from house to house, not only between cities and provinces. This gives the palate the opportunity to enjoy the same traditional dishes with different ingredients, techniques and stories.
