This experience features the story of grandmother's tortelli, which gather at their heart a creamy ricotta and zucchini filling scented with mint and seasoned with a fragrant Sicilian lemon pesto. As appetizers, we will taste cured meats from the Nebrodi black pig, local cheeses and, to finish, my version of the traditional cannolo. We will toast with the best natural wine from Etna.

Wow! What a wonderful experience we had with Laura during our vacation in Catania, Sicily! She is incredibly hospitable, pleasant, and patient. We were welcomed with delicious Etna wine and appetizers. As a small family of three, it felt like a truly personal and luxurious experience. Imagine learning how to make fresh and delicious Italian pasta and cannoli from scratch at the home of a local, with breathtaking views of Catania’s rooftops and the sea. We loved our pasta cooking class with Cesarina Laura. We arrived very early but Laura welcomed us inside right away and served us fresh brushetta and wine while she finished setting up. We learned how to make 3 unique pastas and all of them tasted delicious. Literally the best pasta I have eaten in my life. But honestly the most wonderful part of the experience was Laura herself. She is a such a great teacher and amazing chef. What a perfect way to end our stay in Sicily. Cannot recommend a class with Laura enough!

My cooking class with Laura was the highlight of my Catania stay! Laura was flexible on the menu and happy to adapt to my preferences. We made a delicious caponata, pasta alla Norma and tiramisu in her gorgeous apartment kitchen, and shared a natural rose from her friends’ winery on her balcony with views of Catania and the ocean . She was patient and helpfully explained the rationale behind certain ingredients and steps so I could easily adapt when I attempt the recipes back in Melbourne. Highly recommend !!!
