Seafood is the soul of our culinary heritage, and together we’ll prepare classic dishes like Venetian cicchetti, risotto with the catch of the day, stuffed cuttlefish, baccalà with polenta, and other local specialties — depending on the season and daily inspiration. I’ll share the secrets passed down through generations in my family for an authentic and flavorful experience made with love and local pride.

- We took the Venetian Cicchetti and Shrimp Risotto with Peas and Zucchini class with Barbara which was very enjoyable! The teaching was hands-on and easy to follow. We learned a lot about the importance of the ingredients and various techniques. The dishes were super delicious and we cannot wait to recreate them at home! - We took the cicchetti cooking class with Barbara to learn how to make traditional Venetian appetizers. We had a great time! Rather than a class it felt more like spending some time with a favorite relative learning how to make some of her best recipes. Barbara explained each dish and the possible variations for each of the four appetizers. In addition to guiding us through each step, she had many tips that we are sure to use in the future. We are looking forward to making some of the appetizers we learned how to make with Barbara! We would highly recommend taking any cooking class that she offers.
- Amazing experience with Barbara today as part of a Rialto Market shopping tour and cooking class at Barbara's place. Great food, excellent local recommendations and a lot of fun overall. Highly recommended.
- Barbara had to step in last minute to teach our class because the original person had fallen ill. I had expected a cancellation when I got the call that the original chef was ill and was pleasantly surprised when we just got switched to a new chef. Barbara was kind and funny and welcoming and we had a great time. It was very special to see the residential side of Venice and get to know a local. We hope to test what we learned as soon as we get home.
