If you love pistachios, here is an experience that will lead you to discover this mysterious little fruit, how it arrived in Sicily and why its connection with Mount Etna makes it so special. In my home on the slopes of the volcano, together we will discover the legends and secrets of this fruit that grows embraced by lava and kissed by the Sicilian sun.

We will prepare fresh pasta and, using ancient, simple family recipes made with genuine ingredients, we will experience the aromas and flavours in which pistachios play a leading role and contribute to making Sicilian cuisine one of the most loved in the world.

I had a wonderful time at Antonella's. She taught me how to make pasta from scratch and we prepared two really delicious pasta dishes that we then tasted after the aperitivo. Thank you, Antonella!

Antonella was an amazing teacher! She welcomed us into her home as if we were part of her family. We made several appetizers, a main course and dessert. We talked about the different ingredients and how they affect the flavors of the dish. When everything was prepared we set the table together and ate our delicious meal. Antonella is such a wonderful woman and cook! She welcomed me and my 12 year old son into her beautiful home in Catalina. She was very accommodating and thoughtful. She had an entire meal planned and smartly prepped some of the things that would take the longest (drying eggplant and frying it). We made busiati pasta and a long Sicilian macaroni pasta. We also made some amazing roasted red pepper/olive appetizer and a pecceriono onion appetizer (using olive oil from her brother’s trees!) The pasta we sauced two ways: a tomato sauce and a pesto (made with almonds, basil, cherry tomatoes, garlic, etc). Both were excellent. It was exchanging stories and learning about her culture.
