È tradizione nella mia famiglia preparare la pasta fresca, e i ravioli della nonna sono sempre i più amati. Dopo un viaggio a Sorrento, la nonna ha sperimentato questa ricetta che ancora oggi cuciniamo spesso nei giorni di festa. Un ripieno di zucchine, basilico, scamorza e ricotta rende questi ravioli semplicemente deliziosi, soprattutto quando vengono saltati nel burro con una crema di formaggio, pepe nero e basilico. E se al piatto si abbina il vino fatto in casa dal nonno, i profumi e i sapori diventano davvero indimenticabili. I nonni sono una grande ricchezza!

Our fresh pasta cooking course with Emanuela was easily the highlight of our trip to Napoli. From beginning to end, Emanuela and her partner Maurizio were warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Emanuela welcomed us into her beautiful home and pointed out the beautiful features of Napoli and across the bay. Then we got to work cooking! She went step by step, helping us to make fresh pasta and tiramisu. The experience was very fun, and the meal was hands down the best meal I had on my Italy trip! And was enjoyed with a beautiful view and with very good limoncello and wine. Truly nothing beats homemade food. We had reached out prior regarding dietary restrictions (I don't eat pork, and my husband doesn't drink) and Emanuela was very accommodating. Also, because of difficulties with transportation, for a reasonable fee Maurizio shuttled us to and from the residence, even stopping for us to enjoy panoramic views and take pictures. These accomodations made the entire experience stress free so we could fully enjoy and live in the moment. Grazi for making our visit to Napoli so incredible!

Our cooking experience with Manuela was one of the highlights of our time in Naples! We learned a bit of the history of the area and about the ingredients we were using. Every member of our party had a work station and was able to participate in every aspect of preparation. Emanuela's home was lovely, with a stunning view of the bay area. The food we created was wonderful and I am excited to put our new skills to use at home. Our evening with Emanuela and her husband felt like visiting a favorite Aunt and learning a family recipe 😊

Incastonata nell’omonimo Golfo, Napoli ad ogni risveglio ritrova dinanzi il suo splendido mare. Lo stesso mare sul quale si affaccia l’ampio e verdeggiante balcone della casa della nostra Cesarina, dal quale si gode un incantevole panorama.

La casa in cui Emanuela ci ospita è spaziosa, arredata con gusto antico e raffinato, inondata di luce. La passione per l’arte culinaria di Emanuela è nata da bambina, quando faceva capolino nella cucina di “mammà”. La nostra Cesarina è un’abile mosaicista: questo intuito per gli accostamenti e per le combinazioni perfette, l’ha resa esperta nell’arte di preparare cibi eccellenti. Sapori e profumi vengono sapientemente accostati per raccontare la storia e le tradizioni del suo territorio.
