Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

    In my kitchen you will learn how to prepare two different fresh pasta doughs to make two traditional pasta shapes. I will reveal all my secrets for making perfect dough, flavorful filling and cooking the pasta al dente! We will use traditional tools such as rolling pin, ravioli cutter and most importantly our hands, the essential tool to feel the dough! In addition, we will prepare the classic tiramisu, the quintessential Italian dessert, a creamy spoon dessert whose coffee sauce will be flavored with marsala wine. In addition to preparing the recipes you will get to learn secrets and anecdotes about the history of the dishes. At the end of the preparation you will be able to taste the dishes made, accompanying them with an excellent local wine.

    We had the most amazing evening at this pasta course! From the very first moment, Alice and her husband welcomed us so warmly that we instantly felt at home. Everything was perfectly prepared, and you could tell how much love and passion they put into every detail. We learned so much throughout the course. Alice and Francesco shared countless wonderful tips and tricks that we will definitely use in our own kitchen. They explained everything with so much patience and joy, making the whole experience both fun and inspiring. In between cooking, we also had really engaging and interesting conversations, which made the evening even more special. When we enjoyed the aperitivo they had prepared for us, they cooked the pasta we had made ourselves and we all enjoyed it together. It was such a beautiful and memorable experience.     I was passionate about cooking and food since I was a child, accomplices grandmother who loved to cook and the whole family who loves to eat well. I love cooking for my family and for others, starting from the choice of recipes and the selection of ingredients. I like to experiment and I'm particularly passionate about pastry and leavened foods. I do research on ancient cookbooks and asking around, especially older ladies, their family recipes. Sicily, like all Italy, has an invaluable gastronomic heritage, whose recipes and preparations vary from house to house, not only between cities and provinces. This gives the palate the opportunity to enjoy the same traditional dishes with different ingredients, techniques and stories.
