    Sicilian cuisine has always been rich in vegetarian dishes. At Cesarina Marilù's house, you will have a unique experience learning how to prepare an entire vegan menu, from appetizer to dessert. We will make together homemade vegetable ricotta with soy milk, cappellacci prepared only with water and flour, filled with vegan ricotta and spinach. To end on a sweet note, a delicious vegan tiramisu will not be missed. A journey into the authentic flavors of Sicily, revisited in a vegan key.

    La cesarina Marilù è davvero super fantastica e ospitale, ci ha accolto con tanta simpatia e cordialità come se fossimo amici di vecchia data. Abbiamo preparato le impanate con tuma, cavolo fiore, olive e salsiccia. Sono venute buonissime, accompagnate a degli antipasti di salame, olive, formaggio ed un ottimo vino delle cantine Privitera.

    I am Marilù, your Cesarina in Catania. I look forward to cooking together and letting you taste a variety of traditional dishes that I prepare with love. We will get our hands dirty and make fresh pasta together using fresh and genuine ingredients purchased directly at the open-air market in Catania. Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in all stages of dish preparation. My specialties include egg ravioli and tagliatelle, busiate and cavatelli (Sicilian fresh pasta), scacce, scacciate, and focaccias. My standout dishes are eggplant Parmesan and Sicilian-style caponata. To end on a sweet note, we cannot miss tiramisu, a dessert loved by all, as well as traditional Sicilian sweets: lemon or melon ice and sesame nougat.
