- Homemade ravioli fill ricotta e spinaci with fresh zucchine, almond nd pecorino romano cheese

My name is Mauro, I was born and have always lived in Venice, I propose this experience to share my love for my city and passion for cooking.
In a typical Venetian house we will prepare and cook together fresh pasta with the products of the lagoon, I will explain the tricks to easily replicate them at home, also I will have time to give you some tips on how to best spend your vacation in Venice. For the preparations of my dishes I use fine raw materials from the nearby Rialto market. On request it is possible to vary the menu in case of your special needs. At the beginning of the experience we will get to know each other by drinking a spritz together and tasting typical Venetian cicchetti.

Wir hatten zu meinem Geburtstag ein 3-Gänge-Menü bei einem Local gebucht und bekamen das beste Geschenk überhaupt: wir durften Mauro kennenlernen, unseren charmanten, humorvollen und stilvollen Gastgeber. Er ist Venezianer und bekochte uns auf das Leckerste mit regionalen, super frischen Produkten. Alles schmeckte köstlich, fein abgestimmt und raffiniert. Einfach toll! Statt der 3 gebuchten Gänge wurden wir mit 6 überrascht. Es hat uns super Freude gebracht und wir haben uns sehr angeregt unterhalten. Es gab von Cichetti über perfektes hausgemachtes Pesto und hausgemachte Tagliatelle in verschieden Varianten mit Riesengarnelen oder Babykalamar (beides super frisch vom Rialtomarkt) bis zum ebenfalls umwerfenden Tiramisu. Dazu tranken wir passende Getränke, natürliche durften dabei weder Select Sprizz noch ein wirklich guter Prosecco oder Kaffee zum Abschluss fehlen. - We were received by Mauro at his home in Venice, which just that is an outstanding experience: get to know a traditional house from a venetian in Venice! I attended the course with my 8 years daughter. Mauro speaks perfect english, was extremely sympatic and very knowleadgeable about italian and venetian culinary. We prepared and cooked with him antipasto di cavolo nero, shrimps with strawberry and rucola, tagliatelle with calamari and tomato, raviolli ricota and spinach in a bed of zucchini cream, tiramisu. We also learned how to do a traditional venetian spritz. Mauro has also many insights of Venice history and hidden secrets. We were really active in the 3 hours in his house, as he taught us how to do evertyhing from the beginning. My 8 years old daughter was never bored. This was an experience that we will remember for our whole life ) grazie mille mauro!!
- We had a wonderful trip to Italy, but the true Highlight of the trip was cooking with Mauro our Cesarine. It was truly a delightful experience. I would do it again and again. He was so knowledgeable about Venice and the history as well as the beautiful foods of the region. We had 3 generations ages 16-63...Thank you for the wonderful experience... Magnifico !!!
