We'll spend time cooking together while immersing ourselves in the rich traditions and stories behind Modena’s cuisine. As we prepare each dish, I’ll share the history and cultural significance of the ingredients and recipes we’ll be using—many of which have been passed down through generations. Whenever possible, we’ll use locally sourced products to ensure freshness and authenticity. Some of the ingredients will even come directly from our own vegetable garden, right next to the house. Depending on the season and the weather, we might take a walk through the garden together to pick fresh herbs, fruits, or vegetables to use in our meal. Whether you’re a passionate home cook or just curious about Italian food culture, I’ll make sure you feel at home and fully enjoy this journey of flavors.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di essere accolti da Angela ieri a Modena per preparare insieme i tortelli ricotta e asparagi, ed è stata un’esperienza meravigliosa! Angela è stata estremamente accogliente fin dal primo momento, creando un’atmosfera calda e familiare che ci ha fatti sentire subito a casa. Con grande passione e chiarezza ci ha guidati passo dopo passo nella preparazione, condividendo consigli utili, curiosità e quel tocco in più che solo chi ama davvero la cucina sa trasmettere. Il suo entusiasmo è contagioso, e grazie a lei abbiamo vissuto un momento autentico, divertente e molto gustoso! What a fantastic experience! We had a amazing time making tortelloni with Maria. It was fantastic to learn from her and gain knowledge through her extensive experience making food. Not only was it amazing to make, but it also was some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. We also enjoyed making the dessert and sharing a meal together during this intimate experience. If you want to experience true regional and local culture, then this is the cooking class for you.

Angela was an excellent teacher, and we really enjoyed our time with her. She gave excellent, easy to follow directions in English for making the pastas, pesto, and tiramisu. She was also very good at giving suggestions as to how to adapt ingredients we would have at home to make similar dishes. We enjoyed seeing her garden as well. Angela has a very generous spirit and gave us the confidence to make pasta ourselves when we return home.

(I'm local but I'll write this in English so that it might be more useful for the average customer) Maria Angela has been very welcoming from the very start. She explained everything clearly and even gave us exact quantities for all the recipies. We prepared Tortellini with Parmesan fondue/sauce, Tortelloni with spinach and ricotta, handmade pasta with Ragù (we didn't make the Ragù tho) and finally Tiramisù with Nocino. Everything was excellent and we were even offered products from her own garden. Overall, the experience was as good as it could be: highly recommend to anyone, now we just have to try at home!
