Hands-on cooking class with bruschetta, 3 recipes (starter, pasta and dessert) followed by an Italian aperitivo and a tasting of the recipes prepared during the lesson
- Sfin
- Busiate (a type of long macaroni)
- Tiramisù
An authentic culinary journey awaits you in this unique experience!
We will begin with sfincione, a traditional Palermo appetizer, followed by the preparation of the typical pasta, busiate, with condiments that vary according to seasonality: Sicilian pesto or alla norma in the warmer seasons, and broccoli "arriminati" or sausage ragout during the winter. To end on a sweet note, we will immerse ourselves in the preparation of authentic tiramisu, following the recipe handed down in my family.
An unforgettable experience of Sicilian flavors that will take you to discover the true essence of Sicilian cuisine!

- Absolutely outstanding, we really had a lot of fun. We made some really great food while drinking some good local wine.
- I had one of the best cooking experiences with Rosa in my entire life. Her culinary knowledge and her patience met my expectations and then some. She taught us how to make homemade pasta and ragu sauce. Rice balls were fun to make and turned out delicious. To top everything off rolled sponge cake with a chocolate chip ricotta filling and I had two servings. Rosa and Sally were the bomb. Rosa took a liking to me and picked on me the whole night. I enjoyed the attention and was even rewarded with a signed apron. I would not only recommend but I will see you if I ever come back to palermo. Rosa thank you for an unforgettable experience. We chose this place for we were were hoping to enjoy as much of the Sicilian eggplant and we were not disappointed! We loved the dishes Rosa has prepared for us. She is a very skillful cook. - Wonderful evening. Highly recommend.
- A Cooking Class Worth Being Stranded While my family stayed on Ustica (an island 20 ish miles away) my son and I took the ferry to Palermo to learn how to make Sicilian pasta and cannoli. Rosa Maria is clearly an accomplished cook, which we learned runs in her family. She is also a talented teacher. When we couldn't quite the the hang of shaping the pasta without crushing it, she was patient but clear in her instructions so I know what to practice when I get home. Sitting down to lunch was lovely. We got to know her husband and Ate Sally. We were sent home with leftovers which was a saving grace when we arrived at the port and learned all ferries had been cancelled till the next morning, standing us in Palermo for the night. In all the chaos that followed, we at least had good food to eat. The next morning as we rode the ferry back to Ustica, I had no regrets.
