Catania is a special city, here Etna volcano meets the sea, and our cuisine tells of tradition, daily life and hospitality.

We will cook together in a friendly home mixing flavors and knowledge of Sicily, recipes that mothers and grandmothers have handed down and adapted to seasonality. Finally we will taste together what we have prepared and chatting about tradition and hospitality we will "taste Sicily"!

This was BY FAR one of our top experiences in Sicily. Antonella was an amazing guide, treating us to food, locations and information we would never have gotten otherwise. Beyond highly recommend. Antonella went above and beyond making our visit to Catania a trip of a lifetime.

Antonella ci ha accolti in questa splendida casa di fine ottocento, ristrutturata e piena di storia in pieno centro storico, a Catania, di fronte la Villa Bellini, polmone verde della città. Una persona eclettica, poliedrica e un'ospite eccezionale che ci ha saputo guidare verso piatti che, nonostante autoctoni, non conoscevamo e di cui siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti. Non si finisce mai di imparare. Le porzioni ricche e gli ingredienti, scelti accuratamente in piccoli negozi di fiducia, e lei un'insegnante eccezionale che ha saputo guidarci nello stendere l'impasto dei ravioli. Non se n'è aperto nemmeno uno e hanno tenuto benissimo la cottura. Grazie mille per aver creato uno splendido ricordo e non vediamo l'ora di ricreare la tua ottima granita!

Antonella is such a wonderful woman and cook! She welcomed me and my 12 year old son into her beautiful home in Catalina. She was very accommodating and thoughtful. She had an entire meal planned and smartly prepped some of the things that would take the longest (drying eggplant and frying it). We made busiati pasta and a long Sicilian macaroni pasta. We also made some amazing roasted red pepper/olive appetizer and a pecceriono onion appetizer (using olive oil from her brother’s trees!) The pasta we sauced two ways: a tomato sauce and a pesto (made with almonds, basil, cherry tomatoes, garlic, etc). Both were excellent. It was exchanging stories and learning about her culture.
