- We spent the evening with Giovanni who was a wonderful host, showing us how to make pasta alla norma. Giovanni's home is a treasure full.of Sicilian history and a real treat for us to enjoy. Giovanni took us through his recipe and helped us bring together this tasty dish, which we enjoyed thoroughly. We also tasted some traditional Sicilian starters and a bottle.of light white Sicilian wine too. Our only regret? That we didn't ask Giovanni play his harpsichord which sits proudly in his loving room. A true gem in Palermo. Thank you Giovanni
- This was by far the most sicilian evening we experienced on the beautiful island of Sicily. We were greeted and made comfortable by Giovanni and Simone. Throughout the evening we got to know more and more about life in Sicily. All that under a great meal. And a good glass of wine. We shared next to the laughter and talks a great recipe for food. For us a night to remember.
- Giovanni is a wonderful host. Last night, he taught me how to make a traditional pasta dish, as well as a fried cheese and tiramisu. The entire evening was way more than I had hoped for. I would recommend these cooking classes to anyone wanting to momentarily step into the Sicilian way of life. He has a beautiful home that you feel comfortable in and he makes you feel like a special guest. Simone showed up and whipped up an incredible dessert. The food was delicious the wine was good and to top it all off Giovanni played a Baroque song on an instrument I had never seen nor heard of. An evening I will remember for a long time. Thank you for opening your heart and your home to me.

Giovanni
Cesarina from 2026Location: Palermo (PA) Languages: Italian and EnglishI’m Giovanni a musician from Palermo specializing in Baroque music, with a degree in harpsichord from the Palermo Conservatory. I have always combined music with a passion for art and cooking, inherited from my mother and grandmother. I love preparing traditional Palermitan dishes and sharing convivial moments, paying careful attention to the beauty of the table. I welcome guests in two locations: my city home, an elegant apartment near the English Garden, furnished with antique pieces and my harpsichord, perfect for playing and introducing Baroque music; and my countryside house, a villa with a large garden and a terrace overlooking the city, Monte Pellegrino, and the sea — ideal for dinners surrounded by greenery with beautifully set tables.
