A cooking class for the sweet tooth!

Tiramisu is the most well-known and loved Italian dessert all over the world. So let's dive into this delicious spoon dessert by experimenting with three of its most mouth-watering variants: the classic coffee one, the fruit one (strawberries, raspberries or pineapple), the one with a cream flavor (pistachio, hazelnut, chocolate).

While waiting for the rest needed for a better tasting of the desserts we will be able to share a savory appetizer with focaccia with sourdough and bruschetta with cherry tomatoes.

If there is a way to make a guest feel immediately welcomed by, and a part of the host family, Alessandra has perfected it. We arrived at her lovely home to see her husband, son and his partner all come out to enthusiastically greet us… including Dante, the French bulldog. He was adorable. She then took us into her very typical kitchen and in classic “Italian mama” style, we whipped up three variations of the delicious dessert tiramisu. She was very organized and had everything ready for us, so all we did is stir and mix and put it together. It was easy - even for the non-cooks among us - great fun. Then, unexpectedly, while the delicious dessert was chilling, she had us sit down at her table outside in her garden and proceeded to bring out what could only be described as a full meal. They described it as an Aperitivo. We sat down with the family and enjoyed a delicious spritz, had a lovely variety of appetizers, cheese, and goodies… All homemade of course. We barely had enough room for tasting the desserts! But it was all completely yummy and a great deal of fun getting to know her and her sweet family. They were extremely gracious and we had a lovely time chatting and getting to know one another over this amazing food. I will now hold the distinction of being the tiramisu queen when I return home… None of my friends will be able to prepare a dessert like these! Definitely a highlight of our visit - so a big hug to Alessandra and her lovely family. And to Dante, of course. Ciao tutti! Grazie mille.

Excellent experience. I learned a lot in a familiar, friendly home. Allessandra was so kind and caring. It was not just a course it was cooking together and sharing a meal.

My boyfriend and i found this cooking class on our holiday and this was the best thing for us in our vacation. We want to thank Alessandra and her husband for their hospitality and kindness. We loved to make our own pasta and tiramisu. We had a cosy family dinner and it was a great evening. Love from Holland

Cooking with Alessandra was the highlight of our trip! We enjoyed learning how to make authentic ravioli. Dining Al fresco in their garden with their family was such a memorable experience. We highly recommend Alessandra if you are in the Venice/Treviso area.

Alessandra was fantastic. She and her family were so welcoming. Learning from Alessandra was so much fun and she explained step by step how to do it and why. The end product was very good. If in the Treviso area, definitely sign up with Alessandra and have an outstanding experience.

Cesarina from 2018Location: Preganziol    Languages: Italian and English
Our Cesarina Alessandra welcomes her guests to Preganziol, a small provincial town near Treviso, where you can breathe a calm air, where there is an atmosphere of peace: houses with small vegetable gardens or gardens and a lovely small church overlooking the main square. "I consider cooking an act of love and sharing, seeing my guests happy at my table gives me so many emotions. It is a way of pampering the people I love, but it is also a constant curiosity to know new tastes, to experiment and challenge myself."
