Maria and Paula were warm and welcoming hosts who memorably shared their knowledge of preparing pizza and tiramisu through words and actions. They also gave quite a few insider tips on how to make them. Naturally, the finished dishes were immediately enjoyed together with a good glass of Prosecco. We’ll be booking the pasta course soon!

Maria Antonietta welcomed my mom and I into her home for a private cooking class and it was one of the most wonderful experiences ever. We were offered some Prosecco and a light snack while she went over the menu and plan for the day - who doesn’t enjoy a little Prosecco at 10am!! Maria went through every detail to her dough recipe making sure I wrote everything down, how to use the pasta maker (manual vs electric), and her “do’s and dont’s” of making pasta. We made ravioli filled with ricotta and mortadella, then used the extra dough to make tagliatelle. For dessert we made traditional Tiramisu, and according to Maria it’s the only way it should ever be made. I certainly made sure not to miss any step of this recipe!! Maria created a lovely experience for us, making it feel like friends gathered for a morning preparing brunch rather than a cooking class. Her husband joined us for lunch while we chatted about various topics from food to Italian holiday traditions in Italy and NY where we’re from. When it was time for us to end our time together none of us wanted to part, as we could have continued eating, drinking and chatting for the rest of the afternoon. My mom and I highly recommend to anyone they should make the trip to Treviso for the day and spend time with Maria Antonietta. You will learn to enjoy cooking more than you already do and will leave feeling like you’ve spent the day with family. Thank you again for this wonderful experience!! Xoxo
