Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Potato tortelli with butter and sage
  • Fettuccine with Tuscan ragù
  • Tiramisu

In the flower-filled garden or in the kitchen of our cosy stone farmhouse, nestled amongst the Florentine hills, we’ll have fun getting our hands dirty as we prepare three traditional Tuscan recipes together, using fresh eggs and organic flour, before discovering the authentic flavours of our region whilst sharing the history and secrets of our family’s cuisine. We’ll discover how to make fettuccine by hand and potato tortelli using fresh vegetables and high-quality local produce from our countryside. Together, we’ll prepare a light and delicious tiramisu, accompanying the meal with a delightful Chianti. It will be a joy for us to welcome you to our little corner of paradise.

Cesarina from 2026Location: Scandicci (FI)    Languages: Italian and English
We are Serena and Antonio, a couple who have lived in the Tuscan hills for years and love the authentic flavours of local tradition. We prepare fresh egg and semolina pasta, such as pici, tagliatelle, tortelli, gnudi and spaghetti alla chitarra. We serve it with genuine ingredients from our garden and the local area, including vegetables, truffles, porcini mushrooms, guanciale and organic eggs. We also love making focaccia and traditional Tuscan appetizers, such as crostini, cured meats and cheeses with homemade preserves, pappa al pomodoro, panzanella and coccoli. Traditional desserts complete our table, from cantucci and tiramisù to tarts, schiacciata alla fiorentina and schiacciata with grapes.
