An authentic Sicilian experience, a journey through scents, ingredients, traditions and good music. I will welcome you to my home, a retreat that preserves Sicilian warmth and roots, where you can relax by the fireplace in winter or in the cool summer garden, far from the heat of the city. I will share with you the secrets of Sicilian cuisine, handed down from generation to generation. After an aperitif, you will learn how to prepare homemade pasta - maccheroni con il ferretto or busiate - which we will dress with sugo alla norma, sardines and fennel, mollica or, in the summer season, with Trapanese pesto. There will be no shortage of typical Sicilian desserts, such as biancomangiare, gelo and ricotta cakes. To finish, a homemade rosolio with cherries from our own production.

- We had a great time with Giampatrizia and her family! We learned classic recipes and enjoyed really great food and wine!
- We had a wonderful experience learning how to make homemade pasta and Pasta Norma. Giampatrizia was wonderful and we learned so much. After we finished cooking, we sat down with her and her family and enjoyed our meal and learning about them and their culture.
- My mother, sister, and I spent a beautiful afternoon making homemade Sicilian dishes with Giampatrizia (and her daughter/son). A time full of learning, laughing, and true connection in the kitchen. You could really feel the passion and joy through her cooking and we felt right at home in her kitchen. And everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I’ll be dreaming of the Sicilian cheese for years to come! We cannot wait to use her recipes to recreate the meals at home. Her family shows love through cooking and so does ours and this way can bring a little piece of Sicily to Chicago. Grazie mille!
- Giampatrizia is all you could imagine an Italian mama would be like. A good cook that controls the kitchen with lots of passion and warmness. She invited us into her cozy home and gave us and unforgettable evening. Also thanks to her husband and Stefania. We were a family of five and Giampatrizias cooking class was the highlight of our holiday in Sicily. We could feel this was not just ‘another day at the office’, but something she did because she lovede it.
