Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Your experience

Sorrento immediately evokes sun, sea and the unmistakable scent of lemons. My passion for cooking drives me to innovate while staying true to tradition, enhancing the authentic flavors of the Coast. After a fresh welcome drink, we will prepare together the famous limoncello, a symbol of Sorrento. To follow, lemon-scented ravioli, lemon scialatielli with shrimp and zucchini (depending on the season) and an irresistible lemon tiramisu. A journey through taste, scents and colors, all in yellow!

Amazing experience not only cooking but sharing the amazing dishes with Marilena’s welcoming family. The property is beautiful, the food was lovely and the kids specially enjoyed making the dishes and trying new things. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity!

Marilena was a wonderful, welcoming coach through our cooking class! She curated a menu to highlight local fresh produce including sorrento’s famous lemons and taught us about pasta, some history, and how to make limoncello (and any other variety)! We had so much fun, ate well, and felt very welcomed. Marilena and her family took us in their arms on arrival and we left feeling a part of their community. Truly wished we could spend more time together but we look forward to when we meet again. Until then, we’ve got an impressive meal to make for our friends back home. ;)

I realized my love for cooking from a young age, ever since Santa Claus brought me "Sweet Oven 90" when I was 7... I spent days baking. Today, cooking for me means conveying the passion and dedication I put into preparing my dishes. The kitchen is my natural habitat, where I find relaxation. I also love welcoming people into my home and making them feel like part of my family. In fact, whenever possible, I often organize lunches or dinners with friends and relatives.
