    Welcome to our family, where you will discover secrets about the traditions of Italian and local cuisine. We will start with an appetizer prepared with the best seasonal ingredients from our garden, to guarantee you the freshest and most authentic flavors. Next, you will have a choice between preparing Ndunderi or Scialatielli, both types of pasta born on the Amalfi Coast. You will be guided step by step to create these delicious and traditional dishes.

    Finally, we will end on a sweet note with the preparation of Zuppa Inglese, Mom Annamaria's recipe, a dessert loved by all of us in the family.

    Not only was the food very good, but the experience was one of a kind! From making the food to enjoying Rocco e Carla’s hospitality, it was truly a genuine local Italian experience. His family was very nice and very experienced in culinary. All ingredients are sourced locally from their garden/friends or from local companies. This experience is perfect for couples or small groups, just be prepared to enjoy good food, good company, and good wine!

    We had a wonderful time at Be Genuine! Rocco and Carla were wonderful hosts, good teachers and provided a personal and intimate cooking experience! Sipping wine and dining on dishes made with fresh, local food was truly wonderful. This is a unique experience and we recommend it to anyone staying in Praiano!

    I truly cannot speak highly enough about Rocco and Carla's cooking class. Many of the experiences on the Amalfi coast can feel inauthentic and touristy, but at Be Genuine, you so clearly get a true experience of what it is like to live in Praiano. Rocco was a wonderfully gracious host - warm, welcoming, and so happy to answer all of our questions about what it is like to live in Italy. Carla, our teacher, spoke fantastic English and had lots of tips and tricks learned over generations of Italian cooking that she was more than happy to share. The ingredients were fresh from their garden and the food was absolutely delicious, but the best part of the experience was certainly getting to know this wonderful family.     We are in Praiano, an enchanted village in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, the perfect place to create dishes that reflect tradition and authenticity. Here we are welcomed by Carla and Rocco who since childhood, have experienced the world of cooking first-hand, through studying traditions and spending evenings sitting around the dinner table. For them, cooking is not just passion, it’s  a lifestyle. Their experiences in the restaurant world, have given life to their project: to combine gastronomic passion, traditions and genuine food cooked with the produce that they have grown or even fished themselves.
