Welcome to our family, where you will discover secrets about the traditions of Italian and local cuisine. We will start with an appetizer prepared with the best seasonal ingredients from our garden, to guarantee you the freshest and most authentic flavors. Next, you will have a choice between preparing Ndunderi or Scialatielli, both types of pasta born on the Amalfi Coast. You will be guided step by step to create these delicious and traditional dishes.
Finally, we will end on a sweet note with the preparation of Zuppa Inglese, Mom Annamaria's recipe, a dessert loved by all of us in the family.

- We booked this cooking class while celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary on the Amalfi Coast, and it turned out to be the single best, most memorable meal of the entire trip!! Rocco and Carla welcomed us like family and taught us their own generational recipes, passed down through the family, using ingredients they grow themselves!! There's something special about cooking with produce picked that same morning — you could taste the difference in every dish!! The whole experience felt less like a class and more like being invited into their home… We laughed, learned techniques we'll use for years, and then sat down to enjoy everything we'd made together, paired with their homemade grappa and wine!!! DELICIOUS!!! It was warm, generous, and completely unforgettable — the perfect way to celebrate 30 years together!! If you're visiting Praiano, do not miss this…. We left already planning our next visit!!!!

- We did Rocco & Carla’s cooking class and enjoyed it! It was an amazing class - we learned so much, had a lot of fun, and felt right at home with them. Almost every single ingredient used was from their own garden/animals or a family member’s. They also send you the recipes afterwards, my husband and I are excited to make them at home. Do this class if you’re looking for an authentic experience instead of a tourist trap. Most amazing class on Amalfi Coast and we will absolutely do it again!
- Our cooking class at Be Genuine Cooking Class in Praiano was one of the most special experiences of our time on the Amalfi Coast! Carla and Rocco were absolutely fantastic chefs and, even more so, two of the kindest and most welcoming people we met during our trip. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely at home. We had such a wonderful time learning from them, laughing together, and enjoying the process of preparing delicious Italian food. They taught us so many new cooking techniques and shared their knowledge and passion for Italian cuisine in such a genuine and personal way. What made the experience even more memorable was how generous Carla and Rocco were with their time and their stories. We left not only with new recipes and skills, but with memories that we will forever cherish. If you are visiting Praiano or the Amalfi Coast, we cannot recommend Be Genuine Cooking Class enough! - This was the best experience we had on the coast. They went above and beyond for my fiancé and I. Aside from the amazing food Carla taught us how to make, her and her husband have the biggest hearts in all of Amalfi. They truly made sure that we were taken care of even outside of the cooking class. Carla was SO good at making pasta, she showed us all of the ways to make different shapes. Her garden was full of fresh herbs. Rocco came down to grab us from the drop off area. They went above and beyond for my fiancés proposal. If we ever come back, I will be calling our new friends up right away. Thank you for everything.

For them, cooking is not just passion, it’s a lifestyle. Their experiences in the restaurant world, have given life to their project: to combine gastronomic passion, traditions and genuine food cooked with the produce that they have grown or even fished themselves.
