Course and menu of three fresh pasta dishes: passatelli pesaresi, cappellacci with spinach and ricotta, and tagliatelle. I will offer a welcome drink to get to know each other and welcome you to my country home in the hills overlooking centuries-old olive trees. We will prepare typical passatelli pesaresi with broth or fish sauce; to make the passatelli we will use my great-grandmother's "fer," an ancient tool that still bears the marks of all her preparations. We will then put our hands to pasta to prepare the exquisite cappellacci filled with ricotta, spinach and Parmesan cheese dressed with a fresh tomato sauce.

We will finish with the beloved tagliatelle topped with a ragout of seasonal vegetables. For the three recipes we will use eggs from my happy hens!

My time with Silvana was one of the highlights of my six week trip in Italy. She was extraordinary and an incredible ambassador for the Cesarina brand: so kind, so hospitable, and so lovely. Both she and her husband were warm and welcoming, and had a feast fit for a king laid out to welcome me. Silvana put me immediately at ease. We made three separate dishes together: piadini, dessert, and a delicious ravioli. This session meant so much. My grandmother’s family is from the Pesaro region, but she died before I was born so I never had the chance to learn to cook Pesarese cuisine with her. Learning side by side with Silvana I felt that she was gifting me knowledge of my family, food, and culture, bringing me closer to my grandmother and hence, myself.

We loved our experience with Silvana! She had a few snacks ready for us when we arrived. We enjoyed the hours at her house with her and her husband. She was warm and hospitable, and it was fun to learn from her. As a note, her home is tucked away in the countryside, not accessible by public transport. This was not a problem, we had a ride, but it was hard to discover prior to booking. Her home is gorgeous and I'm glad we took the trip to visit, it was lovely to view a part of Italy I might not have otherwise. Thank you Silvana!!!!!

My house in the hills is located 15 minutes from Pesaro, in a relaxing place where reconnection with the earth comes to life thanks to the rustle of the leaves of the 500 olive trees that surround it. My table is consequently characterized by simple foods, mainly made with the catch of the day from the Adriatic Sea, and accompanied by what our land offers us."
