The highlight of our time in Como was a private cooking class with a wonderful mother/daughter duo who welcomed us into their beautiful home, as if we were old friends. Carolina and Simona shared delicious, cherished family recipies with us while they taught us to make ravioli, polenta with sausage and delicious sugar cookies. Carolina surprised us with freshly made tiramisu to accompany the cookies we made. Both ladies were very encouraging and supportive as they put us at ease whlie we tried something new. They both share a passion for great food rooted in old family recipies. The time just flew by and before we knew it... it was time to go!

At age 70 I was fortunate enough to travel to Italy for the first time with my two nieces. Being able to meet Simona and Carolina (and Charlotta!) and have them share their culinary expertise was magical and the highlight of a wonderful trip. I'm back home in Texas busy making ravioli, lemon cookies and limoncello!

We just finished our cooking class with Carolina and Simona, and we could not be more thrilled! This is not just a cooking class. This is a total immersion into the Italian lifestyle of our wonderful hosts. We talked, discussed, learned, prepared, cooked, and dined on our own creations of delicious meat & cheese filled ravioli, and tasty polenta and sausage dish, and a scrumptious Tiramisu dessert. Carolina and Simona were very patient and kind while allowing us to learn and helping us where needed (and we did need help along the way). We also got to meet Charlotte (Charlie), their 1 year old mini poodle, which was such a pleasure since we have to mini poodles of our own. To sum it up... Excellent cooking instruction, great conversation, and a wonderful evening spent with new friends. Thank you very much!!

We absolutely loved this activity & 5 starts are NOT enough. We’ve been in Como for a few days but we’ve been so busy with other stuff that pre-booking a cooking class was not possible. I booked it 24 hrs prior & I am beyond happy that I did. It was a very small class of 4 & the amount of one on one we got with Carolina & Simona was very much appreciated, as neither myself or fiancé are good cooks. Simona kept encouraging us & making us feel so good about our progress even if we messed up. I highly recommend booking this class because you will not regret it and will walk out feeling confident. Another pro is Carolina & Simona live in a beautiful house with a beautiful view, it was so lovely seeing a European style house from inside rather than just outside.

We loved our pasta and tiramisu class taught by Carolina and Simona! They were very friendly and encouraging as they taught us to make homemade pasta and tiramisu for the first time. They broke it down step by step and demonstrated the steps as needed so that everything was very easy to follow, and the food tasted amazing in the end (with the help of Carolina’s incredible sauce on the pasta). Simona also told us where to find the ingredients used in the sauce in Como. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for an introduction to Italian cooking!
