    The panzerotto brings joy, gathers friends and family, and is the king of street food in Bari. I prepare them following the traditional Bari recipe: the fried dough is both crispy and soft at the same time. The classic filling for panzerotti is tomato and mozzarella or meat with tomato and mozzarella. Over time, the fillings have become more elaborate: we can try them with stewed turnip greens or with tomato and ricotta forte (a creamy and slightly spicy Puglian cheese). We will prepare them together in these four variations, and I will reveal all the secrets to you. We will have fun making them, and we will enjoy them freshly fried, accompanied by fresh seasonal vegetables. Your experience will conclude with a delicious jam tart. I will be happy to host you in my home!

    We really enjoyed our dinner experience with Sara and her family. She was extremely well prepared and very experienced in the kitchen. Her daughter and son-in-law joined us too. We appreciated getting to experience “real life” in Italy in a normal person’s home. This is probably the highlight of our trip to Italy and we recommend it to anyone who wants a glimpse into regular Italian life and wants to spend time with wonderful people. They even sent us home with our leftovers and lots of pictures of the evening.

    Sara and her family is super friendly. Her homemade food is excellent! The Italian fish pie is definitely very new to me and it's delicious. I also love our conversations during dinner. Highly recommend!
